LIKEWISE! TO THIS DAY, I, STILL, DO NOT KNOW WHY HE CUT IT LATER? In my opinion, he, as well as the rest of the band, looked A LOT BETTER when they had "long, rocker" hair! Also, in my opinion, by having long hair, it "matched the music" they played.

2:00 and on through the solo you hear how fucking amazing theses dudes are as one! That’s one of the tightest rhythm section ever. And it’s LIVE!!! 2:37Cliff and Lars matching the fills note for note clean AF! And we already know James is the best rhythm guitarist out there.

I was at this show, and I still remember it like it was yesterday. I have seen hundreds of great heavy metal shows in my 48 years of life, and this one is still in my "top 10." Cliff is still very much alive through his music.

I saw Metallica as a teen during the Master of Puppets tour in Toronto on December 9 of 1986. Still have the tour shirt from that show. Cliff had passed in September of that year. Never did get to see him perform live with the band unfortunately. I remember being in shock when I heard the news. Although the rescheduled show with Jason was amazing, I really wish I got to see them with Cliff playing bass. RIP Mr. Burton. You are dearly missed.

Jason is often credited as the bassist with the most stage presence, but damn Cliff had an energy about him on stage that no one else had or has. Looked like he was having the time of his life on stage.

One fun thing about it nobody now actually knows what the heck Cliff actually played Because He was so skilled really he would vary it all the time. People today even f they try to play whats on the records they more often than not mess it up or miss half of it. all i have to say about him is when ever you can watch something like this, Just sit back chill and enjoy it for what it really is.

Unfortunately a lot of it is marred by James’ guitar being out of tune. He definitely is on this song, and it’s horribly obvious on “For Whom the Bell Tolls”. That one is truly depressing because it ruins an otherwise legendary performance by Cliff Burton.
