This is absolutely incredible!! I particularly love the bit in the middle with James and Kirk’s twin solo harmony which shows how thin the veil is between metal and classical.

You’re the reason I came back to the piano. I’d left piano for more than ten years, and now I have an 8y old daughter who I am teaching and she says she wants to be like you when she grows older. She’s already fully playing “The unforgiven”, with solo and everything. And much of this I owe to you. Cuddles from Brazil! 😄

Metallica Orion. Fun fact for those who might don't know . Their late member Cliff Burton used to write his iconic bass lines by playing piano. Among all metallica members Cliff was the only one tahtbactually had music school decree. And he was the one that push others to be in music more iconic.

I saw this and thought please don't be another nothing else matters cover. I love nothing else matters, but this is one of my absolute favorite Metallica songs and kind of a deep cut TBH, it's my go-to song anytime I'm in front of a juke box, and it never falls to get noticed.

This is magnificent / I luv this peace I can't believe the talent involved here, that is so absorbing it's like a new level of realisation of such a heart felt peace... I have the actual script of this song tattooed on my right arm from wrist to neck winding around, it took 12 hours to do.... Best instrumental ever buy a metal band, I'm 58 I still have the poster of the boys from my 1st yr in high school, 1981, they were kids when Cliff wrote this... It's any wonder the 1st time Larz seen Cliff on stage he ran outside to James and said, " you gotta see this bass player" then they moved to the bay area so Cliff would be part of the band, because he said in that 1st meeting, " yer I'll join yr band" ," but only if you move to the bay area". The rest as they say is history... Cliff Burton 😞 what a loss, like so many other great muso's taken to early, imagine the music we've missed out on.... Cliff Burton Curt Cobain Jimmy Hendrix Elvis Presley Stevy Ray V... Jim Morrison AN NOWER DAYS Anthony Oliver Ren Just to name a few.... Like I said I'm 58 became a roadie at 14 ran away from home with a band called Rose Tattoo... Started as a stage roadie learnt about guitars was a lefty so learnt to play a right handed guitar upside down for job reasons as every band I worked for all the players were right handed.. at 20 I got my 1st lefty and, going full circle, I now play bass guitar drums wrote over 100 songs sold many toured relentlessly, raised my kids alone on music gigs with my 1st acoustic guitar ( a Maton, Australian made natural series / still have amd play her to this day... I walked away from performing because house music took over the pub seen in Australia buy 2010.... Gigs were harder to get because venues that booked bands or soloists became fewer an far between.... Even though the music of today is relevant to the youth of today, it has nothing compared to such music as this... I use to listen to music and search for new stuff every day played every day... But the new music from about 2o15 became intolerable to me... It's so repetitive, I because bored and very few interested me, there are a few like Billy Strings, or Voltage from the USA who have sparked some life into me at times... Today the only muso I've given a listen to that is new and interesting has a style crossover some rappy lyrics guitar piano, but it's actually original and talented is, "REN".... BLA BLA BLA Music the essence of life... Tuned to old school setting not concert pitch of 440... God Bless 🙏 every muso out there trying to find an original sound... Never surrender... To the pain of the search or the system when they say your not SOY BOY ENOUGH....

I am not a hard-core Metallica fan but their instrumentals are amazing. The melodic parts of Orion sound like they were made for piano. Of course Gamazda's epic skills helps, but I doubt James and Co were ever thinking that Orion would sound so good on piano. Someone book her in Greece since she does concerts,come on.

I'm a casual fan so I didn't know the specific tune. I just love that when you queue up Metallica, you never know it you're getting heavy, frantic Metallica, or soaring, melodic Metallica. All my favorite tracks have some of each. Excellent performance, fantastic dress, 10/10 all around!
