I learnt to play guitar from the Metallica tab books (first four albums), and the songs that are on those records are some of the most well composed songs in the metal genre, by far. Metallica will always have a special place in my heart for this reason. But to witness such a skilled pianist with the endurance to not only play this music, but FEEL the mood, and portray it- reminds me of why I loved to pick up the guitar in the first place. Plus, hearing these songs on another instrument, is such a wonderful experience. This video is a gift not only to Metallica fans, but lovers of music in general- in that I feel the piano really brings out the Compositional Brilliance of these songs. That being said... her Stairway To Heaven cover is by far my favorite of her performances yet!
