@Gamazda Such amazingly beautiful and passionately rendered music!! So powerful and compellingly executed. I often just let the audio wash over me as I close my eyes to go to sleep - so wonderful and comfortable. And, no, I won't pretend to overlook the much-noted visual beauty of the artist, although that is just a delightful bonus, not the main point (not gonna spend an hour enthralled watching the video set if it were silent!!). All of the glowingly positive comments are totally well-deserved (and, for social media, the lack of the all-too-common trolls, creeps, and compulsive haters is remarkable - kudos!). But/and, a few great aspects of these videos seem to be under-appreciated (at least, I haven't found them commented upon). So, I'll try to rectify that omission: 1. The pianos themselves, with their intricate mechanisms so beautifully showcased, are gorgeous instruments, true partners with their amazingly talented and expressive pianist - especially in those special moments when she reaches out to engage directly and intimately with the strings! So great! 2. The videography and editing of these productions are outstanding unsung elements of the power and impact of the entire presentation. The camera seems to be everywhere, always capturing exactly the most effective view. Yet the camera also seems to be nowhere, in that there is never any sense of intruding, disrupting, or distracting the intense focus of the performance. Totally seamless and beautifully done! 3. The same goes for the editing and post-production artistry. The scene-setting, story-telling, composition, transitions, cuts, timing, audio, etc. - all result in absolutely awesome final videos. I learnt to play guitar from the Metallica tab books (first four albums), and the songs that are on those records are some of the most well composed songs in the metal genre, by far. Metallica will always have a special place in my heart for this reason. But to witness such a skilled pianist with the endurance to not only play this music, but FEEL the mood, and portray it- reminds me of why I loved to pick up the guitar in the first place. Plus, hearing these songs on another instrument, is such a wonderful experience. This video is a gift not only to Metallica fans, but lovers of music in general- in that I feel the piano really brings out the Compositional Brilliance of these songs. That being said... her Stairway To Heaven cover is by far my favorite of her performances yet!
