@@hetfieldye8463 i always feel like they should switch Sad But with Thing. It has the same heavy feel, so it can swap out really well. I feel like thats how they can play around with their setlist. You should be able to do the same with anything and everything in your life. Be free, man. Im often suprised by James vocals nowadays, he still got it, his distortion is so nice and well placed, to this day just a master;).

The drums at the start sound so powerful. Especially the snare. Props to James for those vocals too.

That rhythm bridge from Kirk's solo to James' vocals is honestly the most metal thing ever done by Metallica. Lars' drumming really makes it so.

So many things you can say, but they all boils down to this - If you grew up as a Metallica kid, James Hetfield is the greatest & most important riff-meister + song-writer of all time. Happy Birthday, James!

After all these years this song remains one of the most original metal song ever even if Lars is struggling to maintain the energy and punch required. Kirk Hammet Killed it on that solo.

Here's an example of how James can make his vocal range sound similar to what it used to sound like back in '89... What a man. \m/

I'm a drummer and I know when the timing is a little off... Lars was such a good drummer timing wise up until these last 4 years man. Still one of the best bands ever. Long live baby

Most bands would kill to have this song they apparantly wrote with the mindset of "we need one more song for the album thats heavy and chunky"

This song is a bulldozer. It isn’t too fast. It just flattens you with its heaviness slowly and steadily.

They clearly wanted to play it slower, like they do with a lot of their old songs nowadays, but Lars is dragging even more, and you’ll occasionally hear these awkward hiccups where the beat is just so far off.

I’m so glad Metallica took a “do what we want when we want approach” with this album. They gave us bangers like these when we don’t want to bang our heads at 220bpm 😂
