Glad you like it! For the 3 tier you should be using the 46-inch outriggers according to MetalTech. The 14 inch outriggers are for the second-tier sets. Thanks, great review. Concise and to the point. Told us what we need to know. I would like to know how it is using it outdoors on grass/dirt. I wonder how well the wheels hold up against sinking in and if there are larger-size wheels available for outdoor use. I want to get the 2 story easy climb version that has the trapdoor in the platform to make it easier to climb and less chance of tilting over.

Glad you liked it! The 2 story will move around in somewhat flat grass pretty easily, however if it rained recently you will need some extra support underneath the wheels when using the platform (8x4x16in concrete solid block is what I use). If the ground isn't level, you will also need to make sure to use the leveling legs as well.

do i need larger outriggers for the 3rd tier? I purchased the 3rd tier and it only came with the 14inch. They would be held liable if the safety equipment is not appropriate to the product they are selling, so I'm assuming the 14 inch is fine. Thoughts?

Interesting that you received the 14-inch outrigger if you ordered the 3 tier. According to all MetalTech advertisement/pictures, they have statement saying the 46-inch outriggers are "Required safety precaution when using 3 stories." If you ordered from reputable dealer, double check the part number you ordered vs MetalTech website...you may have received the wrong outriggers. This Metaltech baker style model is capable of 3 levels for a max reach of 24 feet. If you are looking for something for a 4 story, I would suggest you look at Metaltech's utility scaffolds which are capable of 39 feet. ( www.metaltech.co/product/span-300-wide-tower-kit-39%e2%80%b2-high/ ).
