The was no propaganda from Mon Mothma. She is the reason why the rebellion succeeded. Had Saw had his way, the rebellion wouldn't even have lasted a year. The only reason he even lived as long as he did was because of Mon Mothma. She protected him from the locals on the planets the rebellion liberated and from the Empire. It was she who did all the work with her ways of doing things. If they did with Saws ways, people wouldn't have joined at all, because they would've been scared of by his tactics. Saw is actually bad, even for guerilla tactics here on Earth. His tactics was to kill everyone, even civilians, which is why everyone hated him and his tactics. It's why so many joined with Mon Mothma and not Saw

@@mondaysinsanity8193 Mon Mothma did have her way though. They took prisoners, unlike Saw, and they helped people who needed it, so rhey actually went Mon Mothmas way. Rebellion isn't as simple as killing everyone, as there's multiple variants of rebellion. The rebellion we got in Star Wars was built all around how Mon Mothma wanted the rebellion to go, and it went her way, unlike what you think. The principles of the rebellion in Star Wars was the more humanitarian type of rebellion, not go full out terrorist and murder everyone, even your allies. Mon Mothmas rebellion was built on showing that violence wasn't all that neccesary, and that it was better to treat civilians and enemies with respect and in a human way, so they understood that the Rebellion wasn't aimed at destroying everything. That was Saws version. Saw wanted the rebellion to kill everyone that got in the way, even his own men got killed. Saw was and still is a terrorist, not a rebel. There's a difference in rebellion and terrorism, and Saw was a purebred terrorist, not a rebel. That's the difference. Mon Mothma was a rebel, Saw Gerera was a terrorist. He's only seen as a rebel, because he used to fight for the rebellion, but he was really a terrorist, and mot a rebel

Im a vet man i was a combat engineer lol i know how war works, i studied insurgencies and guerrilla warefare. You need both every succesful revolution and rebellion has both. You need the idealogue the salesman the one who paints the pretty picture and who tries to keep pr good. You also need the guy whos willing to actually act. Saw was willing to act. Mon mothma didnt even like the idea of robbing the empire. She wasnt comfortable with any direct action she was a politician. Saw was a soldier. The simple fact is rebellions require sacrifice they require drastic measures. Guerrilas steal, the ambush, they assassinate, the bomb. Youre fighting a galactic military willing to glass planets to win with more than enough might to do it And you really think pretty words, stealthy robberies, and conventional battles are what wins that? No every martin luther king jr. Needs a malcom x rather they recognize it or like it. You need someone for them to surrender too and someone for them to be running from

I finally watched those Onderon episodes from Clone Wars for the first time recently. Knowing what happens with Saw in The Bad Batch I wonder what the king did when the Empire came into existence. It must've been a heartbreaking scene for the king to probably choose loyalty to the empire to save his people and prevent further bloodshed since they just beat the separatists but for Saw to turn away from the man he helped return to power

Saw is one of my absolute favorite characters, not because he's a good guy rebel, fighting for peace or any of that malarky, but because he's the exact opposite. Star wars in terms of good guys and bad guys has always been completely black and white but him and his renegades show a greyness in the middle because of his extremist methods and actions. not only that but this guy doesn't give a shit and will do anything to get what he wants, even going against his allies. (also his crew card in the x wing miniatures game is a personal favorite of mine. a high risk, high reward type of card that can be devastating with some good rolls.)
