Trandoshans are my favorite race. I once tried making a trandoshan, but the name generator came up with the name "Poggo Darzehk", so i gave him the nickname "Poggers". Raised in unusually civil conditions for a young scaly boi, he eventually fell into a gang of illegal speeder racers. After a massive racer bust that resulted in him losing his speeder, he discovered podracing on an annual vacation to tatooine. After meeting with Clegg Holdfast at a mos espa cantina after the boonta eve classic, Poggo decided to become a podracer pilot, mostly because he missed the adrenaline of racing. a pure adrenaline junkie, his pod was custom-built out of the remains of a scrapped Titan 2150, with all safety mechanisms removed. When asked about why he removed all of the safety devices, he would simply laugh and say he doesn't need them. To get through sharp turns, he employs a special technique he calls "slip-cancel" to sling his podracer sideways at incredible speed, engaging the booster the moment he regains forward momentum. This technique, unseen in any other pilot, has even managed to take Sebulba by surprise on a few occasions, simply because nobody knows when or where he'll slide into the lead with his engines completely sideways, or zip by at top speed when his opponent is still accelerating from the turn. While he is a very dangerous opponent to tussle with on the track, he's far from evil due to his upbringing on coruscant, at worst being an abrasive jerk. as such, he records his races with cameras in his pod, and to date is the only racer to catch sebulba's cheating and live to tell the tale. Unfortunately, this really got to the Dug, who now has Poggo in his sights, and he is bent on revenge.

@@torgejh9189 i'm actually in the process of writing one. i've since made a few changes. his name has been changed to "Syh" (as in sigh), and instead of getting into podracing because of meeting clegg, he instead takes clegg's place by entering as a backup racer. this is when he first employs his pod-drifting, passing sebulba in the entrance to the arena, his pod just barely grazing Sebulba's. an impressive feat given just how big titan 2150 engines are (see Ratts Tyrell)

the trandoshans were always interesting to me, the thing i loved most was their faith: the score keeper technically keeps score in all things, so a trandoshan doesn't have to be a hunter to get a good score in their faith. they could be a doctor where their score is a number of patients they've helped, or anything else really.

Starting from the early point where they're deeply loyal but not remotely friendly (which gets into the fun "alien cultures are alien" stuff that works like KOTOR liked to explore since you typically think of such deep loyalty as going hand in hand with camaraderie) to further down the line where you have these absolutely terrifying badasses using the best of both's tactics and weapons and making everything crap itself.

@@PosthumanHeresy The biggest challenge is a believable reason for them to save one another. Maybe they're young and haven't killed anybody sentient before. Or somebody wants to kill the other guy in a dishonorable way. Also, the life debt doesn't end if one saves another back. A life debt is for, well, life. A couple of ideas worth exploring. - Trandoshan calls the Wookiee that saved him Ghrakhowsk instead of his name. When their relationship deepens they start calling each other by name. - Both Kashyyyk and Trandoshans have one senator, an Wookies. Trandoshans hate it because they don't feel rightfully represented. And a lot of Wookies hate the senator for caring about Trandoshans well-being even a little bit. - Wookies are smart and have prehensile hands. Trandoshans are thought to be more stupid than most and their hands make it hard for them to use tools that are not specifically designed for them. - Trandoshans were the first aliens to land on Kashyyyk. Wookies attacked them, stole their technology, learn how to create their own, and that's why Trandoshans were angry at Wookies. - Wookie and Trandoshan dishes (Wookie cookies, Trandoshani flatcakes, etc.) - Lizard dance - Why Wookiees don't use their claws in a fight? - Shikoyagu What are your ideas?

@@kingagrabowska9366 I was thinking a hunt gone very, very wrong. Trandoshans vs Wookies down on the forest floor of Kashyyyk would be the perfect sort of location. Both parties get attacked by the nature that's far more terrifying than either group, and as such they do the logical thing and drop their differences to deal with the things trying to kill them both. By the end of it, one member on each side is alive and they won the fight dealing the killing blow together. They both just saved each other's lives over and over repeatedly every second since anything going wrong could have killed either of them and they're otherwise alone and in hostile territory, so neither of them can deny that a life debt is very appropriate.

I read the Bounty Hunter Wars. While reading the book, it noted that the baby Trandoshan’s would eat the weaker siblings. This would insure the stronger more dominant Trandoshan would live and hunt.

I actually had like a friend group of Star Wars people like me and the group was called the trandoshan clan, I was the leader with my best friend being second in command. We got bullied a little bit, they mainly called us the trans gender dolphins. We built a small fort with a tree and some logs, yes this was at school. Some people we trying to break it and we’re forgetting that I was the designer for the fort, it still came along good. Sadly good things must come to an end, before the end of the year half the people left the clan and the next year my friend left the school then everyone left the clan but 2 people so I decided to stop it. He was my best friend and got me through that year, since I got constantly harassed through it. The fort was still standing till almost the end of the 1st quarter but one the people who harassed me who was really dumb, decided to sit on the top of the barely standing logs of a fort. The only thing that reminded me of my friend at that school (which we couldn’t barely ever visit) was destroyed. Some older people tried to fix it, but it will never be the same. I love trandoshans because I have a lizard named uno, and they are fascinating creatures. I hope everyone who reads this will not make fun of people for what they love. I say this because I have been bullied before and sometimes what you love can get you through it.
