Metatune vs Autotune!

This is for sure the closest competition to autotune out there. It still doesn't quite have the same "shine" that autotune puts on vocals but it getting there.

They're very similar, but I've used metatune so far a few times in session and all of the clients have preferred it to autotune, which actually shocked the hell outta me. Metatune to me is a little easier to dial in and I love the grouping function. Autotune is also probably my slowest plugin to open even tho it runs on my uad satellite, and metatune is pretty fast and I can drag instances much much faster. Still love melodyne though for the more natural sounding vocal...sometimes i come back with tune on top of it if I want a certain sound though.

Nice in depth review, I liked it, It's a nice alternative to autotune and I can easily see my self switching, also going to try the brainwork one, before I decide.

Slate can not compete with Antares But I do love his ambitious ways.

And the Antares installer is a nightmare, i gave up trying to just install the demos.

Sounds like Autotune, maybe not quite as “sheen-y” as the latest AT algorithm but damn close…. And it doesn’t require WIBU. Which is the worst copy protection I’ve encountered and Antares is the only plugin company I can think of who uses it. So it’s more crap you have to install on your production machine *just* to run AT. I’m thrilled Slate has put out such a great sounding competitor. I hope it does force Antares to reconsider their approach to consumers
