Do we need to stake the spark that was purchased during Spark week for $US if we want to sell some once it will become Sparklet?

I believe the staking requirement is for all spark that originates within upland, not from ethereum

Yk won't you need a good chunk of ETH to either move sparklet from your metamask to an exchange or move sparklet to Upland from your metamask, to pay the gas fees? I can see a lot of people withdrawing their sparklet and then getting it stuck because they have no ETH.

@Joziprop I'm not sure what gas Fee's are costing these days. Last time I used Ethereum was a few years ago. Fee's then cost between $30 - $120 worth of ETH depending on how busy the chain was.

Gas fees are paid in upx. When you try and transfer something out of upland it will tell you the gas fees in upx

​@UplandGuide withdrawing from upland yes, but once it's in your metamask gas fees will be paid in ETH. If you haven't got ETH in your metamask you won't be able to either move it to an exchange to sell or move it back to Upland. Unless you can send it straight from Upland to an exchange but then there's no need for step 2 of your 3 steps.

If I’m not mistaken, uploading something back to upland will have gas fees in upx. But ya, if you want to do something with it on Ethereum, you will need eth.
