Lectures don't save people from their destruction, nor does explanation that excuses the dangers. That's dangerous my sister. No to legalizing meth crack heroin nor any other addict drug. Weed is legalized because people can smoke it for years ( by choice) and decide not too, without any withdrawal. But if you think that applies to the other drugs, you'd be lying to yourself. Alcohol is worth than weed, and they're both legal. But alcoholic do have withdrawal if and when they try to quit!
@andrewhigdon83464 жыл бұрын
@@kriszma1212 but the right to consume substances not harmful to others is a fundamental part of liberty. And that right has been criminally revoked by racist policy makers. Racism is the only ACTUAL reason for the illegality of marijuana and cocaine. You yourself pointed out a very important point. How can cigarettes and alcohol be legal in the face of other illegal substances with significantly less harmful effects? Politics, bribery (AKA lobbyists), racism (marijuana associated with Mexicans and Cocaine associated with African-Americans drove them into illegality. It allowed law enforcement to jail the ethnicities known to be most prevalent users of these substances, completely as an excuse to exercise abject racism), and the desire to control the minds of the populace by reducing the use of critical thought inducing intoxicants. They replaced these things with the proliferation of professional sports, Hollywood gossip, alcohol and cigarette dependency known to be disastrous to personal and collateral health outcomes, not to mention the bank accounts. Marijuana is a weed, and would cost nothing to grow in your backyard, and tobacco and alcohol companies simply can’t have that kind of competition. Fact. If they TRULY wanted to end drunk driving, cops could park outside of every bar in America and pick them off one by one, thus being the deterrent necessary to REALLY make an impact on DUIs. Oh, health care costs too much? Put even MORE EFFORT into illuminating the actual effects of cigarette use. The hypocrisy is monumentally destructive to the fabric of America. Walk out your front door, look around, and tell me I’m wrong, then back it up with facts. I’m waiting. I truly enjoy being wrong. At that point I’m closer to the truth. Now. Im gonna huff a bunch of spray paint, like real winners do. Cause I want to have a face of gold. It’s a good look. I saw that on COPS one time. Pathetic and sad. Cigarettes aren’t much different.

Things I didnt even know I forgot until It came back to my memories which also showed me I was missing alot more still. Entire sections of my life :( I also had to relearn socializing- it took 4 months just to get the basics. Also I grew up fairly well off with access to sports, vacations, friends, family everything and still ended up choosing to over do every substance. This combats the rat park study but I also could just be the dark sheep outlier. Great vid

Comend this man for doing so much for addiction. Not enough being done that's for sure. It's a very misunderstood illness . I'm not sure on the whole thing about picking nice things over the drug itself for true addicts. I've tried it. I was a nurse earning at least 3000£ a month ( with lots of overtime) had my own home so had money to spend on nice things but picked the drug every time. Hence after 13 years lost everything, the drug gets you in the end every time! One way or the other. It's a lot clever than anyone thinks? Addiction is very personal. Still looking for an answer.....🙏

Another thing that was mentioned that I feel many may over-look is it seems that when the news reports someone who behaved outlandishly and or committed some crime, they will emphasize that the person was high on drugs. Leading the viewers (non drug users or the non-experienced) to assume that the primary factor of the behavior was due to the drugs? Which, this is not an accurate depiction in most cases, unless someone totally freaked out on hallucinating on LSD and completely lost touch with reality. But people that usually act erratic and flip out while under the influence of drugs usually have deeper mental health issues prior to engaging in drug use, and the choice to add to that instability only may have intensified what was already there. In order to deal with this better, we must look at all the contributing factors and not just the drugs. And take the time to learn for ourselves and use our discernment.

Haha including the meth study to although here is issue meth heads are manipulative they could still buy 20 $ worth of food sell it to lots of meth head friends and make 15$ from that 20$ food stamp and therefore get more crank on top of their usual levels or supplement the money they'd of spent of food with meth as now they have free food instead haha there is no way of removing the fact that if you give someone anything and they're in true addiction they will find some way to turn that into their substance of choice
@inquisitiveskeptic17893 жыл бұрын
@@danielcoppock The point you stated is the complete opposite of what the propaganda has lead most to believe. The idea that the drug permanently impairs executive cognitive function. However, that example of manipulation takes a great deal of cognitive function. There is a difference between use and abuse. You could say the same thing for someone who is an alcoholic, morbidly obese etc. Will you now go on to ban food/alcohol because some people are addicted? There is always a probability, there is no way to have zero or none. Your narrow lens on addiction and addicts seem to indicative of only meth heads. The study proves that the participants were not so engrossed in the drug that they tried to get high at any given moment. So in your example, "methheads" would instead go through the tribulations of taking money "buying food and selling it to meth heads" just to end up with $15 for "crank". Then they would have to worry about getting impurities and arrested when instead they could have gotten pure meth in a laboratory setting.

I agree with Dr Hart on everything but I do think he does a little bit of downplaying here and there. Like yes amphetamine and methamphetamine have the same general effect and are quite similar, but meth is unquestionably a stronger drug. It does a more potent form of the same thing and it lasts 3-4 hours longer, and repeated dosing is more effective at prolonging the high, and it releases more serotonin, etc.
@sunakokirishiki35722 жыл бұрын
serotonin is still negligible and both work fine for adhd desoxyn and dexedrine both work nearly the same. dose of hydrocodone is higher than morphine but morphine is still stronger than hydrocodone. desoxyn is superior in my opinion but it doesn't make any point besides now you do not need an extended formula as much.

Even though he's arguing that their is no discernible difference between amps (adderall, vyvanse, etc.), and crystal meth, there really is. It is like comparing a bb gun to a shot gun blast. Crystal meth is way more powerful than run of the mill speed. From an objective, academic point of view the chemical structures are almost identical. But if this dude compared snorting a line of crank to a line of adderall i think he would rethink his thesis.
@capitalist4life7 жыл бұрын
he already conducted that experiment. One group snorted 50 mg d-meth HCl, while the other group snorted 50 mg d-amp sulfate (which is basically Adderall) www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3475187/
@tshred6667 жыл бұрын
steven vining that’s because recreational ROA’s involving high potency and high purity meth are going to deliver an effective dose at a much faster rate. The only discernible different between methamphetamine and amphetamine is the duration. Even still extended release formulations of amphetamine, dextroamphetamine, lisdexamphetamine, and methylphenidate can mimic methamphetamine in terms of duration. At that point 20 mgs it adderall extended release will be no different than 20 mgs of instant release desoxyn

I'm 30, and spent the entirety of my 20's isolated in my apartment abusing the fuck out of adderall, then the harder stimulants. Hmm. I feel kind of bummed that there was no "oh shittt, alright. So that's how I'm gonna make myself stop" moment in this video. Its pathetic that I'm even searching for that. On youtube. On 75 hours of not sleeping. But this guy's WHOLE point, if I'm not mistaken, is about how it's unfair that there are so many black dudes in jail because of, say, meth. Like a disproportionate number. Which is messed up, I guess? I mean the people he's talking about still had the drug on them. But whatever. So he's saying if society and the legal system just treated meth like adderall, like a mg to mg ratio, then... what? So there'd be way less white/black/brown speed users/dealers in prison? OR if society just made sure the black communities were fundamentally cared for, as far as their "needs" and "positive alternatives"... then what? They wouldn't need to be doing meth? This guy has a point, and seems like he's aiming for the greater good, I guess? I just, as a non-black but heavily addicted user, didn't hear what it was. And why IS he putting emphaSIS on woRRRrds OUT of noWHERE? 😬
