Another method to calculate convolution is t^2. 2t. 1 t^2. 3t. 4 Multiply first row with each element by 2nd row each element just like 3t(t^2+2t+1) and lastly add them you'll get same

Is this not simple algebraic multiplication of the two signals ? What is the difference bet multplication and convolution?
@MathsJoseFuentes2 жыл бұрын
I never done convolution that way, it interesting that I used the foil method and got the same thing.

@@sushantaadhikari5929 naah I changed my field of study 😂😂 But I believe convolution of two signals does not leads to signal loss where as multiplication does..... I mean there are some questions where convolution of two signal is not equal to multiplication of two signals. But you are only going to deal with polynomial kind of questions and there multiplication of two signals just works fine Hope it's sufficient! I believe you are in second year electronics student?

Thank you. Isn't it just the multiplication of two polynomials? x(t).y(t) also gives the same result.

I'm pretty shocked that no one on the internet knows how to calculate convolution algebraically by just doing the integration. You just need to express your signals in terms of the unit step function do some algebra and bring the whole thing in a special form where you can break the integral into 2 parts (almost like integration by parts).
