I've watched a few videos of this locomotive in action, and it's almost unsettling to hear a passenger locomotive with a K5LLA air horn.

Aww, did they replace the “Metra commuters, your attention please” announcements? I loved that guy’s old-school “Chu-caw-goh” accent.

Faint similarity in sound of Metra #504 SD70MACH to the current Alstom PL42AC locomotives on the New Jersey transit. Similar EMD16-710G3B-t1 prime mover and possibly similar inverter, but the SD70MACH engine may be built for the latest Tier compliant levels for emissions, unless I'm wrong.

The worst. I miss the old EMD steel bells now everyone is using the GW737. someone on a forum said it just sounds all the same at the terminal and I agree. at least the steel bells had imperfections that allowed them to somewhat harmonize if that makes sense
