@@sacktrick4240 Some people just make loops or drums and say they do everything to look cool when it's actually just as cool to just specialize and be talented in one specific part rather than acting like u do stuff u don't. But for some reason they act like they do other shit.
@nononoohfuck
@nononoohfuck Жыл бұрын
@@sacktrick4240 it all depends on what the artist pays for or wants but yes. Beat makers specialize in specific parts of production while producers take care of all production. Producers usually hand the mixing, mastering and leveling to the engineers but a lot of producers double as engineers but usually aren't as good at mixing as they are at producing. Think of a producer as someone who not only creates the instrumentation and melodic parts but also creatively directs it as well for the rapper, singer or recording artist. Producers can suggest lyrics yes but usually they only do that if thats what they're offering or asked of however its common for producers who are with new clients to give more melodic and lyrical responsibilities to the actual vocal artist so they can express how they need to but still create with and stay in the process. Beatmakers usually only stick to drum based genres or dont do all parts of production however in modern times its moreso actually that a beatmaker is a specific kind of producer focusing only on specific genres like drum and bass, rap, rnb, hip hop etc. Usually when you're taking about the specifics of beatmakers they usually specialize in programming the more rhythmic parts of songs such as but not limited to drums, bass, percussion etc. Another example of a specialized producer is a loopmaker who only works on the melodic parts with instruments like guitar, piano, violin etc. Producers are like someone who does everything. Engineers work on the soundscaping such as how each sound is leveled, layered, Equalized, loud, quiet, how far left or right, how spacey or snappy it sounds or how mono or stereo something is. Producers usually do a lot of everything but beatmakers, loopmakers and engineers all do all of those things specifically but really well. Beatmakers however nowadays like to say and act like they do everything and falsely accentuate what they do to sound more broad in their expertise in order to sound more utilizable or appealing which is unfortunate because it's okay to be completely talented in just one specific part of the process. Music is a collaborative process which is beautiful but beatmakers saying they're producer's when theyre not is like saying the drummer of a band wrote the guitar and bass melodies, the lyrics, the arrangements, the tuning and instrument selection and the bands artwork all by himself so he can sound more appealing to labels when he is really just one of the most talented drummers ever and should just be proud of that.
