The first Goldwyn lion looked really cute. I love that after the merger, and before the talkies era, the M-G-M (classic abbreviation) lion (what was his name?) just sat there and looked around right to left. Then Leo with his roar changed everything!

It looks like some kind of turkey or chicken to me with the feathers. I have no idea what it's supposed to be exactly. The graphic designer for that logo was probably drawing a bird of some kind. Considering the guy is practically ceased from existence (since the Metro logo was made in 1915, so it's been a hundred years and the average life expectancy is in the late 70s), I don't think anyone would exactly know what it is. Unless the guy had children and/or grandchildren that asked them what kind of animal is that and they remember, which I don't think it's commonly known since they weren't famous.
