Dark Beam, funny enough, is actually more effective against Dark Samus since she's not of Dark Aether. The charged shot does at least as much damage as the Super Missile, if not more.

Hey Quasi! Some tips and info for you! - So, there is an interesting thing to note about Dark Samus. Despite the game being about the light and dark versions of Aether, Dark Samus is actually not "dark" in the same sense. She didn't originate from Dark Aether. She's just an echo or clone of Samus in the sense that Metroid Prime stole a part of her DNA and the Phazon Suit from the first game in order to continue living. She's basically just Metroid Prime and Samus combined. She continues to feed on Phazon, not dark energy as her name might suggest. Knowing this, she's actually very susceptible to the Dark Beam, as she is a light-based creature, i.e., not from Dark Aether and not of any relation to the Ing. - Oh yeah, the Dark Samus battle music HITS. It is great. - You keep calling the regular temple keys "Agon Keys" and that's hilarious 😂 - The way the world looks with the Echo Visor always kind of creeped me out. - You don't have the necessary item to open the Echo Key Beam Doors. You don't have the "sonic pulse" required to interface with them. - The tentacles on the Spider-Ball orb in the Hive Gyro Chamber are always a fun time 😂 Thanks for the episode!

After I beat Dark Samus, I was out of Light or Dark Ammo and thought I was softlocked... but then I learned, if you do a Charged Shot, you can still shoot that ammo to open doors.

Yep, that's why they have the ability to charge for a normal shot, even if the description of it can be confusing at first getting the dark beam.
