One funny thing you can do in pretty much any Prime game is lock on a target, get behind the corner and point your gun around. Congrats. Now you are literally out of enemies' reach while your missiles just zip around the corner and hit an enemy you locked on At least, that's what I was doing in every Prime Trilogy game. Not sure if that's possible in Gamecube version

Personally, if I were the hunter here, I probably wouldn't have wandered around as much. Specifically I would've stayed near early choke points, such as the first non Metroid boss. I guess the hunter here might not have known where such choke points would be, but it could make things interesting when you're up against someone who knows more about the game

@@TheyCallMeXander Here's an idea: AM2R multiplayer, but all but one of the players play like the actual SA-X, and can survive a number of hits from the Metroids before turning into Core X and fleeing from Samus or any nearby metroids until they either get absorbed or manage to infect an enemy and return to their original form.

"Not knowing the map is super dumb-" I mean, it's realistic when you think about it. SA-X may have the overwhelming strength of a fully-powered Samus, but it has none of the experience and very little of the tactics. The real Samus at its power level would have wiped the floor with the entire research station, assuming she's still immune to the X.

The X had the ability to communicate with other X parasites, and absorb knowledge of the host. So in a way the more I do these hunts, the more the SA-X will "know" what's going on.

honestly, I think this was extremely easy for the runner, I think making the runner get at maximum half of the health upgrades would already make this more fun to watch, also, for some reason he stopped getting freezed, I think this was because of Grav Suit, if possible I would take off that property to make it even more harder

The main issue comes from skill differences moreso than it being too easy on the fusion player. Putting a cap on what upgrades can be collected or changing certain properties of items would only artificially raise the difficulty. The SA-X player can go and find extra etanks, missile and super tanks, and PB tanks as well. They also have a massive potential advantage in the early game that hasn't been realized yet.

Honestly I think it’d be cool if the SA-C player could like fight and sacrifice themselves to a Metroid to make it stronger, since Metroids consume X’s in the first place. Like, say one death to an Alpha upgrades it to a Beta, three to Gamma, and seven to Omega Could allow for strategies where the Sa-X upgrades Metroids that Samus hasn’t reached yet to slow her down, although it’d have to be balanced, like maybe Metroids can only be upgraded once or something

The SA-X is supposedly armed with every ability she obtained up to super, with the exception of the gravity suit. We see it has Power bombs, the Space jump, the full super metroid beam combo, and super missiles. AM2R didn't really add anything new in terms of powers, so this toolkit makes sense to me.

This was played on Normal Difficulty (Damage numbers remain normal) but the mechanics are that of Fusion mode. Fusion players keep the fusion suit complete with X collection and modified bosses, while SA-X plays as if they are AM2R Samus.

But I love Metroid ❤ Started with Super, then Fusion, Zero Mission, AM2R, Samus returns on 3DS and lastly Dread. Love them all so much. My favorite game ever though just has to be Hollow Knight as the world is just more expansive and it's a game that everyone is gonna have a different experience with, all with the ability gathering, where you decide to go and how you interpret the story 😁 Sorry for going off, but I love talking about this🥰

This is such a beautiful thing, first I came across the X-Fusion ROM hack and now this? Must be my birthday Also out of curiosity, why did you choose to turn off the Wave Beam? My guess is that Wave Beam may give away your location more often but I figure there may be another reason

In the mod as a balancing decision 2 major universal mechanics were added/changed The first one is to add a 10 second cooldown on Power bombs, so that they don't get spammed. The second one is to drastically lower the firerate on the Wave Beam when enabled. I pick up the wave beam so that I can have full beam during the queen metroid's green spit attack, and because a charged full beam does great work late in the hunt. It's worse early tho since you do more DPS to enemies using rapidfire

usually you are required to port-forward (basically opening a port in the firewall) however with an application called hamachi you can get around that requirement

The mod ain't perfect. effectively what it does is sets players on different teams, then it sets one player's inventory to have a bunch of tools, it adds a radar that shows if an opposite team member is nearby, and then it says "deal extra damage to SA-X if struck by a metroid" The X parasite is effectively a spectator bot with with an absorb mechanic, otherwise it's treated the same as a spectator

I used the AM2Rlauncher (linked in the description) With that you can download mods off of their github pages, then install them using the community launcher! All mods require a 1.1 Version of AM2R which I am not legally allowed to provide. (Google has it tho)

It's an inherently irrational situation. Why is the SA-X protecting metroids, why is it talking with me in such a friendly manner if it wants me dead, what DID happen to all of those people on July the 27th? None of it makes sense, but it doesn't have to because it's fun.

I've found an explanation. During the crash at the end of Fusion, one of the SA-X got sent back in time. Knowing Samus was going to destroy them in the future, it decided that she was more of a threat then the metroids and started trying to destroy her first, which explains why all the enemies turn into X-parasites. Because the SA-X were being more proactive, Samus ended up needing the Metroid vaccine early, which explains the Fusion Suit. However, she still thought it would be better to let the Federation keep the metroid population under their control so that they wouldn't be used for evil, which is why she kills still kills all of them except for one.
