Scatman's voice was so unique. The first time I saw Stanley Kubrick's The Shining in the late 80s I had an ahha moment and suddenly thought, Oh my god that's Jazz. It took some time to put the two together. I Saw him in other movies but it didn't click in my brain about Jazz till then. He had the kind of voice that for me was like I need to stop and pay attention and listen good to what he's saying no matter what it was cuz it sounded important and wise.😁

W Resources Metroplex is the most expensive toy I will ever buy. I will be keeping him in bot mode just so he can look awesome surrounded by my Autobot legends. I like Bobby wanted something a bit mode G1 but all the sculpting detailing is growing on me.

It looks like we will be getting this version before the Like Toys version that is more G1 accurate.

@botvscon TMReviews recently was talking about Liketoys and the likelihood that they could get their Metroplex mass produced by injected molding. He had some information he shared but it really sounds like he doesn't think it will ever get mass produced. The best he thought they could do is to 3-D print some of them to order but it would be mega expensive in the 5K ballpark. I am just not willing to spend that. Too many things to go wrong for that kind of investment so W Resources is my best shot now.

Botcon Exclusive Shattered Glass Gullwing looks so sweet. Loving that Jokerish color scheme with the shattered front windshield, and Matt Trakker suit in the same color schem it's a complete Win. Resources huge Metroplex I'm really looking forward to but the price, along with it being shipped from the other side of the world is scary. Buddy of mine had the Siyang Culture Metroplex arrive damaged, and it was a complete nightmare trying to get that rectified. Core Class figures being canceled is a complete shame, and Hasbro screwed that up. It did really well IMO because they started with the G1 characters from Season 1, and if they would have continued in that same line like making the Constructicons or Datsun/Lambo brothers it would have kept the momentum going with a good return for Hasbro. Thank You James, and Bobby with keeping us up-to-date with these Great Review, and for your time👍🏼

4:05 HOLD ON! James are you a fellow Maryland boy? Anyways that limit is usually just the con limit. All these MMC Con Exclusives end up on Toy Dojo. And sometimes cheaper. 7:40 I really feel it will because it wasn't meant for adults like that. The kids who liked it and have no buying power yet will eventually grow up. It's why it feels like the Star Wars Prequels all of sudden are being loved. The kids who always loved it just finally got a chance to express that love. I'm in my 40s and while G1 will always be my first love, it's just that a love. I can love many things at once. 40:00 So happy I never caved and wasted money on scalpers for the Titans Return version. And with all that time, I know I have saved up at least 2 worths of them by now. And with it, I will have my personal G1 Transformers collection complete and all in the same stylized style I've seen in my head since 1988. 43:00 Same James, both do not impress but he's good enough as I wasn't as big a fan of this version as I was the OG. 44:50 I hate that I really want these and totally see myself being silly and just wasting money on these.

Unfortunately not, I was born and raised in California. They will be up online... which is when I might pick them up. I understand, especially with the Star Wars Prequel analogy. Those are my Favorite Star Wars movies since I grew up with them. This Metroplex is going to bigger and better than anything Hasbro Produces anyways. Hopefully the Dinobot is good. I feel like they needed just a bit longer in production. At least the Blockees aren't that much money! ~The Con

On the Shattered Glass Gullwing, I'm right there with you guys. I want to go just to Botcon just to get it. Earthspark becoming a cult classic is so beyond wishful thinking it's almost borderline delusional......lol Bobby might be sleep deprived 😂 Still think it's telling that they haven't shown a size comparison with mpg-09...... That 4 ft Metroplex is going to nuts. The detail so far looks good. Might be cheaper to apply for a passport for it and buy it a plane ticket than the shipping......😅 Great show guys. 👏

I'm very curious what the next cartoon will be and if they will have Megatron as a good guy again. That did it fit me on the show. Ahhhh SG Gullwing is needed in my collection. I've applied for medical and dental on the Metroplex so I can claim it on my taxes

2:39 It’s not “Catman”, it’s “Scatman”. Scatman Crothers. It’s from his days as a musician. He sang Scat and his band performed on Radio. So, when the Radio Station Manager asked him to come up with a catchier name than “Benjamin Crothers”, he started going by Scatman Crothers.

The tale of two Tidalwaves. Man Hasbro did slay with the face sculpt. Hasbro kind of also has an edge due to just being able to use the Decepticon logo. The knees on the Hasbro do look more proportional. Fans Hobby Honestly I like the face mold as well. I kind of like the idea of a young Tidalwave and an old Tidalwave. Fans Hobby could just make another head and remove any doubt as to which is better tho. Fans Hobby has all the perks which in my opinion trumps Hasbro. FH also in my opinion I view him bigger than a combiner but smaller then a Titan so FH wins there too. I really would like that red FH Star Saber but can't find the preorder. I would love to have that Botcon black lion tape as well. Have a great weekend my fellow Cybertronians. 🎉

Bobby talking about moving some things in his display around for that Metroplex. My first thoughts was that this figure's gonna need his own bedroom.😂 It would constantly remind me of those roommates that never have the money by the first but like now it's forever. And then I'm reminded that I payed for him to move in. Some of us draw line's in the sand for good reasons and I'd like to know if Bobby even had a threshold or boundary not to cross to begin with?😂

Soundblaster was a remade Soundwave after his death, so it would make sense with Ratbat. It comes from the G1 Headmaster series.

Ratbat came out in the movie for his first on screen appearance if I'm correct. I remember watching Soundwave and blaster kill each other in Headmasters. Was crazy with the voice overs

That was the first time I saw Ratbat was the beginning of the 86 movie. I remember him being with Soundwave's minions thinking who is that. That movie gave me a lot of those moments. It took me a little time to warm up to the new characters and was not happy about it at first viewing in theaters. Season 3 helped with what I thought was a drastic change.

Favorite color is Slimming. Any color that makes me look slim. The Devy Wars! I have no idea which version to go with so right now I’m getting both FT and XTB. I was a light worried about XTB but they did a great job with the first release. Anybody else getting both?

I'm getting both and I agree with you on XTB Big Load. Great figure not to mention they have at least done a combiner even though it was a pain die that base mode.

Do you mean Cybertron Hotshot? The Cybertron figures are definitely a curiosity. They are the sizes of old deluxes/voyagers, but every other line is smaller. Someone loves them over at Takara. ~The Con

@@botvscon I haven't really thought of it that way, but yeah... I can see it. Like I'm pretty much done collecting now, as depressing as that is to say, but I'm priced out. I'm considering punting as much of my chug collection as I can, and go 3p legends. I wish I'd have done that in the beginning, but I didn't know. One of my personal guidelines, is pick one. Either CHUG, MP, or legends. If I'm going to do this, I can't let myself go nuts on all the avenues. Since all I knew of was CHUG, that's what I chose, but now am rethinking. It's just become unreasonably expensive, while getting less and less value for the more limited money I have. But even though legends is pricier, I can get in with the likes of MFT, and mechanic studio guys, just to start off, and eventually replace with MS, and newage down the line. Going from several hundred figures, to starting an entire new journey, I feel like I need to be able to get my ranks up to 20/30 strong very quickly, or I'll get kinda defected about it. ANyway, I could keep going James, but I know you read every single comment, and reply, so I'm sorry to ask for so much time my guy. But truly appreciate you using it on my comments

It's exactly what I expected of this multi-pack after seeing the screenshots for the first time. They're good re-molds, especially if you love Legacy Insecticons. Mix that with the cool color configuration design of the deluxe Insecticons, and I believe it's a winner; definitely worth the price. And it's not like the SS86 Springer's partial remold in which they hike the price due to added accessories. Both Barrage and Chopshop along with the micromaster would equate to about $55.
