Excellent coverage. Has been waiting for this since long. This stretch may look like a small one but actually it will carry the larger chunk of passengers of NE line. As it will be highly convenient for the people residing in and around highly populated Belgharia-Sodepur area of northern suburbs. As The location of Noapara is extremely remote for a metro station whereas Dunlop is the most important strategic location of Northern Downtown. The overload problem of suburban local train will also be sorted out. Let's hope for the best.

With the upgrading of the trains and the signaling system, one can say that it will take almost 8 months to 1 year. Then with testing and trial runs, it's hard to guess how long it will take especially with the East-West Metro corridor taking so long. Nonetheless, very informative video.

Number of metros should be increased, as the metros get crowded only in Dumdum heavily. If the metros start running from DAKHINESWAR, then the crowd will be much more than anything.

Exactly. It will be impossible to board a metro which will come from Dakshineswar. Only Dunlop itself will take the whole load of Belgharia-Agarpara-Sodepur. Moreover there's this tala situation.

Be sure guys it won't open any soon. The same is with the salt lake metro, they are doing trials from more than 14-15months , just dates after dates are being provided, no idea about when it would be commercially available. Please do not keep any hopes.

Uh! Our metro is centralised and it railway government releases funds slowly for Kolkata metro. State government has a very little role to play in this.

Delhi has the least type of transportation as compared to Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. For instance: Kolkata has trams, circular railway, metro rail, local EMU trains, govt. then pvt. and mini buses, plus the normal cabs, taxis, autos and all....Mumbai has EMUs, smart cabs, Monorail etc.... Delhi only has Metro buses n autos
