dhanush salian over a period of time cost of maintenance for underground metro is way less than elevated. Plus in certain high density areas in city it is not possible to build elevated tracks

This is not a big deal; such a plan should have been implemented from the start prior to building Terminals 1 and 3. India is forever growing, and present-thinking will not help; must think about the future to alleviate construction cost. Now IGI Airport is retrofitting itself with an Air Train. Mumbai needs one too.

Delhi airport is a private airport. It's metro is also nearly independent so such things are possible there. Then there is political war zone like Kolkata airport and Kolkata metro where nothing can be expected😒😒😒

It's not a private airport. It is under a SPV of Govt. of India.

@@KunalAttri Its under Public private partnership (PPP) model in which AAI is one of the stakeholders. SPV model is different. In SPV, a seperate legal entity is created (like the NHRCL for bullet train) which is under full control of parent entiites (Railways, Gujarat and maharashtra government in case of NHRCL).
