If the goal of this off season is to wait for Vlady for 1B, you’d essentially be guaranteeing a powerhouse team for the next 8-10 years. I’d sacrifice one more year to get the right players and be set for the next decade. We’ve already waited this long for our team to be good. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We’re gonna get Pete Alonso back to fill out the lineup maybe a winker or a Santander I don’t think we’re going to get Alex Bregman because that’s really gonna jam the infield if the Blue Jays do not sign Vlad! But if Bregman is going to accept a 5/150 deal I don’t know how you say no to that

Pitching wins games especially in the post season so what does that mean you ask well it means you HAVE to pay for pitching(unless loaded with pitching prospects) and its going to be expensive!! And sometimes you have to over pay for it. Everyone says oh look what sterns did in Milwaukee ok well 1st this isnt Milwaukee this is NY we arent satisfied by just makeing the playoffs we want a world series win and thats something he never didn in Milwaukee and why you ask its because sterns either trades the pitching before they hit FA or just lets them walk because he REFUSES to pay! Guess what if your offence scores 6 but your pitching sucks and gives up 7,8,9 you lose and if things keep going like this then Soto will NOT be here for 15 years he will be gone first opportunity he gets! Every year you hear the Mets are interested in everyone. They do nothing. Bring in a almost billion $ player and lose the only true home run hitter. The pitching staff sucks. If I was Soto I’d called the Yankees. The Mets need pitching, hitting and middle relief. They shot there load on one player and then dove into the dumpster once again. I’m so tired of the BS. I think that Stearns is looking to get ahead of the MLB curve. Most teams are going with 6 man rotations or starters who won't pitch more than 4 innings. Why should you invest 200 million in a thirty-year-old starter? Even a mediocre pitcher can give you 4 serviceable innings. This is going to be the future of Baseball.

These pitchers are a bridge for when our young starters are ready, Sproat, McClean, and Tong. Santucci could move up the system very quickly. He was a consensus 1st round pick last year. He has the stuff to be a starter at the big-league level.
