The more I think about it, the more I think it makes more sense to keep the trades minimal until the trade deadline for big names to make a playoff push. I think stacking the pen would be wise, because they're going to have high usage and getting a starter before the deadline seems inevitable anyway but could get a steal for one with an expiring contract without having to give much in return.

Why not a sign and trade with Cease? Last time we gambled in a major 1 year rental we lost PCA in the Baez deal. PCA could be starting or atleast platooning right now for us

The pitching is just a concern though as idk if our pitching will be enough to compete with either YET. Dodgers are still a no shot probably, but even the Yankees I’m not 100% sure, I’d say we definitely would give them a run for their money though.

Yankees are not on our level or any team in the American League for that matter,and our Mets are not on the Dodgers level. It’s that simple. But I feel that we are definitely on track to overtake the Dodgers,just don’t think that it will be this year for us.That said,only GOD knows for sure. LGM💙🧡.

The NL East has 3 legit teams that are on the next tier after LA , I won’t even take the division for granted . With the 6 team format we should be optimistic about postseason for the 3rd year out of 4 then we see what happens LA could stumble in the playoffs for sure.
