The keys of G and E minor contain exactly the same keys on the piano, they just start in different places. Thus, the change from G to E minor is no real change at all, it's just a change in perspective. Tuomas is telling us he hasn't changed as a person, he's just changed where he starts from. The same might be said of any of us.

@@althalusian I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Let me clarify. E minor is the relative minor of G major. Both have one sharp. G uses the pitches G, A, B, C, D, E, and F♯; E minor uses the pitches E, F♯, G, A, B, C, and D.

​@@mmnde12 Ann Waychoff, who passed away last year, was a sort of ever-present goodwill ambassador and Godmother of the Nightwish community on KZbin. Whenever someone new reacted to the band, she thanked them and welcomed them to this wonderful new world of music, with open arms filled with warmth, grace and encouragement. She gave every reactor the "Ann Waychoff Speech" in which she laid out the band's history, including the various lead singers Nightwish has had, introduced the rest of the band members, described the band's style, etc. She was a huge force of positivity and love. Those of us who knew her miss her deeply. This was her favorite Nightwish song.

Floor is 183 cm's (almost 6'1" in bare feet). The inspiration for this song comes from a famous Walt Whitman poem of the same name from 1852. The poem at the end parallels the Whitman poem. "And there forever remains the change from G to E minor" is a musical metaphor basically meaning that life starts a in a happy place (Key of G major), and through our life experiences we learn to deal suffering, the responsibilities, and consequences of our human mortality. (E minor). In musical theory E minor is the relative minor key of G major. Major keys sound more uplifting and happy, while minor keys sound more sad and and dark. Thus representing each of our personal journeys from birth to death. A fan put this video together. The poem part is not used during live performances for obvious reasons. Great job LVT and Durty D! Wacken performance was a 15 song set and Floor started off the concert with leather pants. Somewhere close to the mid-point Floor ditched the pants for the leather skirt so you always know which phase of the show the band was performing, by pants or no pants. Ghost Love Score, the most iconic song, was #13 out of 15. It still amazes me how much energy the band had during the last song "The Last Ride of the Day".

The thing og G to Em is something I've heard before. It has to do with good and bad in humans. This is what one wrote when I searched for it. Not 100% sure its right but.. The last verse is the most important. "g and e minor" are parallel musical scales, the same pitches like two sides of one medal. Hapiness and sadness are coexisting parts of our life. Tumoas described this lyric as celebration of life with all it's beautiful and dark sides simultaneously. Also notice the fact that the main character from imaginaerum movie is called gem. Gem= (g+em), can you see the concept? :). Human beings have everything in them, beautiful and darkness, sadness and hapiness -this is just life!

Fan yes she has it to keep her face dry so she doesn't drip makeup. Floor says she is 83 cm tall in stocking feet which computes to 6 feet 1/2 inch. Her stilettos bring her up to 6'3"-6'4". Floor is married to Sabaton's drummer Hannes van Dahl who is 6'7" himself. They have a pre-K daughter(no telling how tall she will be)! Floor has a sister Irene who is as tall as she is. They sing duets onstage in Holland from time to time. Floor was also a professional bodybuilder in her 20s and 30s. You can see she still has those muscles. Floor has vocal classes on Saturdays. Her range is 3 1/2- 4 octaves. She can hold a vocal phrase for up to 16 beats in 4/4 time. (Fun fact--some years ago, one of her fans gave her a yellow sign before she stepped through the back door of a concert venue. It said, "WET FLOOR" which she thought was hilarious. I suspect she still has that sign...)

The change from G to E m is the copper plate put in between the piano strings by the father character in the Imaginaerum Movie. The main character in that movie(played by Tuomas) had a daughter called Gem. When he said that all that remains were the change from G to E m (GEm) he means that al that left is the LOVE for the world and all the creatures on it, in Song of Myself context: his daughter GEm. I think Durty D is a bit burnt out on the reaction vids. He seemed totally uninterested the entire time. You can see it all over his face especially at the end. In the beginning of all these when you all first started these reactions he was totally in sync and attentive. No chemistry really with LVT and Durty D here. Listen to the change from G chord to an Em. Does that mean nothing to you? Then look at the keys of G and Em. They contain the same notes, but in a different order, therefore the change is only in where you begin.
