The very fact that I made it far enough to see the cutscene in the thumbnail should tell you something about this episode of the Randomizer Nuzlocke. That said... NOT MEW!!! ANYBODY BUT MEW!!!!!!
The Randomizer Nuzlocke (name pending) is challenge in which I play through Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky after it went through the SkyTemple randomizer, which randly shuffles all the Pokemon, Moves, Types, Abilities, Items, and Dungeon details (including monster houses and weather). This creates an extremely difficult and chaotic version of the game, so of course my goal is to Nuzlocke it! I'm going to play through each randomly generated seed of this randomizer and see how far I can make it without fainting, and I'm not going to stop until I beat the final boss... Primal Diagla (or whoever he gets randomized to, probably a Wurmple tbh)

Challenge Rules:
-Upon Pokémon selection, the player must select the Pokémon assigned to them via the quiz, and select the first partner Pokémon in the list of partners when presented. If using the No-Cutscene patch, which skips the quiz entirely, you must pick the first Pokémon on the list for the player as well.
-If the player is ejected from a dungeon due to a Pokémon Fainting or a Mission Failure, the run is over and the challenge is lost. This does not include the use of Escape Orbs or Reviver Seeds, but using the "Give Up" function does constitute a loss.
-At this time there is no level cap, but don't sit and grind a dungeon to an unreasonable level.
You may edit the base rom pre or post-randomization to adjust non-gameplay functions, such as renaming moves, changing sprites, or applying the DisableTips ASM Patch. Any changes to the rom that alter the experience of dungeons, the generation of missions on the mission boards, shop functions, or the Sentry Duty minigame are not allowed.
-You may not generate Wonder Mail.
-The json file of settings used for the randomizer can be downloaded from drive.google.c... and applied using the SkyTemple randomizer (NOTE, THIS DOES NOT CONTAIN THE ROM OR ANY OTHER FILES NEEDED)

I can't believe you missed that hilarious Hobbit reference 11:53 Bilbo is doing riddles in the dark with Gollum, realizes he has the Ring in his pocket, and mutters to himself, "What have I got in my pocket?" Then he gives Gollum three guesses. One of the guesses is "Handses!" and the last one is "String, or nothing!". The whole scene is quite comical.

I'm pretty sure the reason you weren't learning moves is because Wobuffet doesn't get any level up moves, it only gets the four moves it starts with. I'm loving this series btw, I wonder how long until you or your partner get to be a legendary

Yeah I think the randomizer changes WHAT moves are learned at the level threshold, but doesn’t change the thresholds or amount of learnable moves themselves. But also thank you!!! I’m excited to see what happens and if/when a run actually winds up successful

I mean level caps aren't actually a required rule for nuzlockes, it just a looooot of poketubers use that rule for "hardcore" nuzlockes, which are more popular than casual nuzlockes. I suppose you could call this an "ironmon" challenge as well, because those are basicaly just permadeath runs anyways.

Yeeeee I originally conceived of this idea as PMD IronMon, but I uh, I’ll be real I didn’t know too much about IronMon rules. The rules for this challenge will develop as the series goes on, I’ll accept that!
