@@AndreMartins-d6s In games where you don't hit the gard-line, he's a wall for your EX mewtwo to setup. In some games he's just as good as mewtwo EX as an attacker, he one-shots the enitre Pikachu deck (needs gio for zapdos though.)

I’ve been playing mewtwo the most, since I was able to get a couple of Mewtwo ex really early on and had not a lot of other options. I even had a couple of weeks where I played it without the Guardevoir line until I gave up and crafted it… My point is I played your build with one Ralts quite a bit but then switched up to 2 Ralts and baby Mewtwo relatively recently and I am having more success. I found out the following: 1. Beginning with Ralts in the active is more often than not a non-issue. Before it can be in danger, you are able to use an X-Speed or a retreat. Sometimes the opponent does the work for you with Sabrina. 2. Baby Mewtwo > no third/fourth basic > Fossil tech: playing baby Mewtwo is basically playing 2.5 Mewtwo and two Guardevoir line. As Willow mentioned also having Baby Mewtwo allows to sacrifice it instead of an ex and it can sponge more damage than a fossil and can fight back. And I tested the fossil list as well. That said I am most probably not the best pilot but I’m still having a great winrate in the queue and it helped get my last wins in the PVP event faster than Articuno/Starmie or Pikachu.

Love it! Excellent build, info, and gameplay. The odds of having a Mewtwo in the opening hand are 79.5% with the 1 ralts build, 69.3% with all 4 basics, and 63.2% with jynx or another 5th basic. It just occurred to me that this may be another reason to run baby Mewtwo. With that tech, you can still run 2 ralts and have an 81.2% chance of at least having either EX or baby Mewtwo in the opening hand Fantastic video, really enjoying your channel and content!

Not only do I use Jynx, but I also run a Slowbro in my Mewtwo deck. Jynx *_is_* a good card for the deck. You do not want to be forced in to having your Mewtwo out early. It is a closer and you're only setting yourself up for giving up 2 Points. You also do not want to have your Ralts' out there, because they're the primary part of your Wincon. So what is the solution? Jynx, is one. She is slow, with subpar damage, but that's not her purpose. She's there to be your early pressure. Even forcing your opponent to charge their bench. There are a couple of reasons, with one being a fear of making Jynx stronger. It's not about her being string, but the perception thag she can be. Of course, this doesn't work on good players, which is the other reason she is good; being fodder while I charge up my Mewtwo, with Gardevoir or not. She doesn't have to win, she just has to set it up so Mewtwo can land an easy 2-4 points. Slowbro is very similar to Jynx, but way better. A 130 HP pool means very few Pokémon are taking it out in 1 shot. He's going to be sitting there for two, or maybe even three turns. And he's going to take every hit with that dopey look on his face. The scary part is when he comes online. Sure, 3 for 80, no effect, isn't great, but it's enough. As an anecdote from the game, I have had several matches whete Slowbro was doing his thing until Mewtwo came in. It drops 300 in those two moves it does, but Slowbro is still shown as the MVP in the postgame. 2 Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir, Mewtwo Ex 1 Jynx, Slowpoke, Slowbro 2 Oak, Sabrina, Giovanni, Pokeball 1 X Speed I've played around with Red Card and you're right. It's not worth running. Either your opponent is sitting on only 0-2 cards when you have it or you end up giving them a chance to draw what they need. Even with Scope support, it's not worth it. Maybe when there are Search Cards for it to counter, maybe.

As someone who’s messed around with a lot of mewtwo builds I can confirm that the single baby mewtwo tech is very strong. Your analysis as to why is mostly correct. The Pikachu and starmie matchups specifically becomes significantly more winnable, especially on the play, because you have double sacrifice potential that you previously didn’t have, and some games are actually winnable without ever getting a gardevour online. I will say the charizard matchup becomes a little worse than it already is, but that’s kinda a sacrifice you make with the tech.

I think if you enter a tournament and perform well with a 1xRalts build of Mew2 that will not only legitimize your claim on it being the best build and you’ll get a ton of traffic going your way as every content creator will cover your build of the deck and give you credit as both the creator and the and the pilot of the build. Having played it, I’m personally a fan, especially in an open meta, but the 5 basics version with baby mewtwo has felt more robust against pikachu ex, which is so common right now.

I'm surprised you're not using a fossil card. Running only 1 ralts makes you very weak to sabrina and fossil protects you without taking a basic pokemon slot

I think running a fossil over a red card would be preferable to most players, but I agree with every other choice he made in this deck. In the very first game, he said “I don’t think Red Card does anything in this game” and that’s a great appraisal of Red Card. If you know what you’re doing, Red card can be used well, but it can also never be used at all. Fossils are kinda the same story, but I think having a fossil is more versatile in this 1 Ralts Strategy. Let’s say you have a single Mewtwo, and you just drew your one Ralts. If you have Fossil, you can put both Ralts and Fossil down to protect it from Sabrina. If you have red card, and the opponent has 5+ cards, it would be smart to red card them to reduce chances of Sabrina, but you could be giving them a Sabrina, or shuffle one in and draw one. It has a nearly equal chance of not hurting or even helping them. And once they take out your only Ralts, the only have to clean up a single Mewtwo and you’re done for. With Fossil, you can protect Ralts and stall for hopefully one more turn to get Kirlia/Gardevoir. Any new players should absolutely run Fossil over Red Card.

Interesting video but I seen better that no one is playing. If what I seen and learn you only use the staples and base. Then if room fillers. Every deck I see used so far is not used at fullest. I have plans to run a 3 to 4 set deck seeing it can be done with 20 cards mines junk and use what needed to help. Your Mewtwo deck is dead in the water. Plus the trainer cards you running some are not needed. Depends on what is needed rule of thumb TCG live tactics works great in pokemon pocket. I been testing things out. I find red card helps the opponent more then hurting them depending on deck. Reason for this is because it draws cards. I had it used on me and makes me win games. As for retreat x speed this depends on retreat cost. I use the rules from TCG live and TCG when it comes to x speed. Meaning x speed not needed in every deck. Sabrina can be replaced depending on your build with the other pokemon. So many combos can be played and no one is playing them. It makes me 😂 at everyone one limited their decks. Can't wait for the next set to see what poke players going to do. Mewtwo if done right might be a 4 stat line run. Which I what to test because if I can run the 4 stat line it beat all deck in theory. Then again if Pikachu ran all the right stat line it be stronger then what everyone is playing now. My thing is will they ever go that extra mile with this game or will die because it's stuck on a one color deck. This needs a answer ASAP because this tell me if game limited 😮. I know they said they like to have 2 color decks. Yet the way it setup as of right now I don't see how they going make it happen 😂.
