I loved this whole video, especially when you say how happy people are in Mexico. I was just in Mexico and found that to be so true. I was only troubled by what you said about potatoes and apples not turning brown because the only reason I can imagine for that is the new Apeel coating that’s being used to “preserve“ produce.
@JoseArteagaTravels

You're spot on, Jose. People just have more personal liberty in Mexico. More personal choice. And sometimes it works like natural selection. Look if you want to dance with a huge box that launches fireworks from your head, fine. And, if you want to stand 3 feet from the guy launching fireworks from his head that's fine, too. Has anybody ever seen a baby car seat in Mexico? A kid with a bike helmet? Padded playground equipment.

We recently had a wedding here in Texas. The groom was from California and happened to have Mexican heritage. His family has been in California over 70 years. When his parents and grandparents came to the wedding, they were shocked to see that Texas was not the Wild West that they see in the Hollywood movies! So, that is one example of how people can get an idea of something and it not be true.

We all have bleed into each other because we’re the same continent. It’s the same in Europe. Customs, language, food somewhat meld together with each country keeping their own identity. Nothing wrong with that. But, I feel Mexico is Mexico. It’s identity is very ingrained and it’s kept it personality despite the amount of immigration it’s gotten. In my opinion anyway.

Jose, stop the constant comparisons to Europe and the U.S. Mexico is very diverse and magical in its own right.
@Mongoose-ct6us
@Mongoose-ct6us Жыл бұрын
Mexico has a lot of European influence though as does all of Íberoamerica. The Mariachi is very Spanish, Italian and Dutch influence. Jalisco for example is very Basque and German influenced. Puebla is very Italian influenced. Mexico City is very French in its architecture. You can't deny the European connection of Mexico to Europe. Mexico was literally called the kingdom of Spain for hundreds of years. The castellano language is spoken in Mexico introduced by the Hernan Cortez the Spaniard.
@Mongoose-ct6us
@Mongoose-ct6us Жыл бұрын
Also the very flag of Mexico shares similarities with Italy. Plaza Garibaldi in Mexico City is named after a European. Most Mexican cities have European names from the Kingdom of Spain. Mexican people themselves have Visigothic European last names. For example the last name of Jose is visigothic European.

@JoseArteagaTravels
@JoseArteagaTravels Жыл бұрын
I have spoken on the issue before but the thing is Mexico is a HUGE country. I live in one end of the country in the jungle where there is plenty of underground water. In the North it is mostly Desert and that is where Monetrey is and they are having similar issues with water than the rest of the South West USA is having. Not enough water flow from the snow melting in the mountains, not enough rain and they are all in a Desert. Yucatan wont have any water issues similar as a state like Florida because it is a huge natural underground water aquifer

Mexico has paid family leave, Mexico has universal health care (it kind of sucks buts its there), Mexico has affordable health care, Mexico has a "left socialist" president, mexico is governed by anti-neoliberal and populist party, Mexico just legalized abortion. The PAN, which is Mexicos "right wing" party is closer to the US democrats. 😂😂😂😂 I love mexico for those and many many other reasons. Oh and by the way mexico doesn't have a "2nd amendment".
