My family eats a lot of Indian food because one family member is pescatarian. They have lots of vegetarian options made with lentils which are very inexpensive. Maybe some of these foods will help keep your meals healthy and interesting. Asian food can be inexpensive as well. Good luck to you.

Biggest mistake people make in cooking is not saving that beautiful broth! Even if you dont have a pressure canner, it can be frozen in bags or in mason jars. Save that deliciousness! Use it in rice instead of water, or in noodles, or as soup base. So many things .love your content.

Well that looked yummy! Great homemade meals. Interesting the difference on pricing.... I would not be buying that same list for for under $40 Canadian. Not remotely. A loaf of bread, a dozen eggs and 4 liters of milk is $20+ and that's pre crazy days pricing.

I have a kitchen hint for cold eggs when you need them to be room temperature. I just put the whole egg straight from the fridge into a bowl of hot water from the tap. In no time they are room temperature!

I wouldn't worry about putting the spoon back in. Spit is already going in the salsa when you blow air all over the top of the salsa when you try to cool what's on your hand. 😂
