Hey i am from Laredo, TX, but lived most of my life in Nuevo Laredo, TAMP, MEX, and it was nice to see your experience crossing! Just wanted to point out some little details: 1) they were not cockroaches they were grasshoppers! 2) the River has had like 2 crocodiles come up in the past, but like very very rare, 3) it is not very safe to swim in the river because they have a lot of areas within the river where water meets and creates swirls of water that can suck you down and drown you. So there are only some safe parts to swim and kayak in! I love the theme of this youtube channel, walls are stupid and should not be constructed!

I just love watching your journey! Your one daughter, I think he name is Chole’ is so precious! Her concern about the car leaking oil & the cows getting bit by rattlesnakes, touched my heart! Come to find out, she was thinking of Laredo, which has a high crime rate & drug cartels. Glad you & your beautiful daughters didn’t experience any problems! Enjoy your time with your sister!

Absolutely love this! I’m a first generation born AMERICAN. My dad’s originally from Guanajuato, Mexico, and mom’s from Cordoba, Spain, but my whole family is as American as one can get. My dad is a VP of a (not trying to brag, just trying to disprove stereotypes) multimillion dollar company. No, he doesn’t mow lawns, no we aren’t criminals. My two sisters, and I are all educated. My two sisters both finished college. One is a psychologist who not only works for the government, but also owns her own practice aside, the other sister is a hair stylist, and has her own location, and I’m currently in college studying astronomy as my major, and business management as my minor. That being said, not everything you hear is right about first generation Americans. My first, and main language is English as it is for my whole family (my mom not as much because she didn’t move here from Spain till she was about 23) but no matter what she try’s. People also forget “Mexicans” have been in the US since before Texas was part of the Union, and as well as pretty much the whole west coast. I think people just need to get educated. Did you know the number of “mexicans” (which isn’t a race. My DNA test came back 93% Spanish, 4% Native American, and 3% Irish so that tells you a lot about “Mexicans”) coming into the US are smaller than they have been in the passed one hundred years. It’s mostly central, and South Americans crossing illegally, but they generalize, and call them “Mexicans”. Fox News not long ago said, “3 mexican countries...” while talking about immigration. That’s how you know they’re idiotic, and ignorant. There’s only ONE Mexican country. LOL. That comes from a conservative as well. Thanks for the great video! Sorry about my little rant. Haha. Keep up the amazing content! You gained yourself a new sub! 👌🏼

Hey! Love your comment. Unfortunately many people need to be educated when it comes to this matter. Your family certainly blows away all crazy mindsets that some have. Thanks for sharing and I hope this enlightens many. We created a video on Cordoba where your mom is from!!! I hope you enjoy it!

And then there are many US border patrol agents along with all the high techs like cameras, electronic sensors, drones to watch the border. Remember, Canada has borders with the US too. I have seen their videos, I was pleased that they visited Monterrey, where I live, and I am from a city near Nuevo Laredo, it is nice to know that visiting so many places pass by where I travel. On the Leredos, when Texas was stolen from Mexico, the border was the Nueces River, not the Rio Grande, as they gained more territory, the Americans seized the northern fringe of the Rio Grande, which is Laredo Texas, but the Mexicans not wanting to leave their nation, they crossed to the south, to continue being Mexican, they loaded up with their dead, that's why it is called Nuevo Laredo. Greetings and continue enjoying Mexico, you will always be welcome.

When I drove across last September some gang members tried to force our car to stop, but we managed to get away and make it to the toll road without them stopping us. Other cars weren't so lucky. Now I bypass NL and use the Columbia bridge crossing 30 miles up the road.

If you want to find horchat concentrate next time you're in Mexico, try Walmart or any dulceria (candy store). Dulcerias have more variety when it comes to traditional Mexican drink concentrates.

Nothing happens if they don't stamp your passport. They forget to stamp mine all the time. Now Laredo Mexico is very dangerous at night. Next time in Laredo Texas try Taco Palenque.

@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders I have been in Nuevo Laredo (Mexico) countless times and have not had a problem. I even have an accent in Spanish and speak a lot of English but nobody ever bothers me 🤠

@Ginger I think your way to paranoid in my opinion. I've been living in ensenada without the 180 day FM3 or the 7 day FM3 for 10 YEARS..without a scratch! Take it easy..it's only mexico..:)

@Ginger Hey if u wanna play by the book it's on u..but u don't need to take offence to it. I'm just stating my situation...if Mexico was so strict as u say it is..then why all the times I've been stopped by the police at the military check points NOT ONCE did they ask to see my FM3..Not once. But wait till I start my channel about mexico..hope u don't make my viewers paranoid about comming here...and secondly..like u might agree..Mexican immigration is a joke. Have a great day.:) stay happy not miserable

@Ginger and where does it say u need to report your departure to them..if they we so bent on stamping you out at departure they would be waiting for the 10's of thousands of AMERICAN commuters crossing from tijuana to work in San Diego everyday! And secondly..if u fly out of any mexican airport to go to another country they definately will stamp u out! Do u even live in mexico or on the border? That's my question..since your so informed?

Horchata is not hard to make from scratch...it takes simple ingredients. Most of it is made from scratch in MX which is probably why you didn't find a packet of concentrate easily. I'm sure you'll find the recipe with a quick Google search. :)
