Honestly, fun review. Nice to see you so enthusiastic about this figure! The detailing on the helmet and gloves seems the most realistic of the three! Clothes are a little bulky looking for me, though very close to the civil war look - hope Mezco releases that! Holding out to see how Mafex’s offering turns out, otherwise this is the winner.

I use the relaxed open claw hand for his shield.. just push his four flexible fingers thru and you won't risk breaking the wrist peg.. I can see how many could easily break the wrist peg using the gripping hand to hold the shield.. The shield will hold on just fine the way I do it and you can remove it much easier.. Awesome figure, love the details and his suit.. Almost passed on this figure, but I'm glad I didn't.. much better in person.. Hope they make Killmonger to go with him for sure! Using that gripping hand for the shield... too much fighting with it to get it on and off and I just thought I would post this info..

If the price dips later on I’ll cop not worth $80 IMO with limited accessories, the shield and spear serve zero purpose (lazy accessory choices by Mezco) but if not an easy pass for me..thanks for another solid review 👍🏾

Mezco gave him more accessories, that none of the other versions came with and somehow they end up being the lazy ones? 🤷🏾‍♂️ Lol The only thing I could've asked for is a masked head where you can see his eyes.

J-Asher by the standard of what I’m used to getting from them and earlier releases..that nut ass spear & shield are lazy and serve no purpose for this figure in his technologically advanced costume. People continue to not hold them accountable for these hits & misses with their figures. This wasn’t 1 that I was looking forward to anyway (the movie to me was average at best) And the fact that this dropped before the tech suit Spidey (which was announced way before BP) is also aggravating. 🤷🏾‍♂️..subpar release to me but Mezco fanboys or Mezcultists will say it’s a top 5 release to start off 2019..which is nonsense

Ethan Aguirre since it’s nonsense as you stated you clearly are one of those fanboys who says every figure they release is “hot”. The shield and spear were used in a combat ritual where he clearly didn’t wear the suit or have the powers of the black panther. From a creative stand point Mezco could’ve come up with something other than that & just included more options ..hence the word LAZY. He could’ve come with the masked head with his actual eyes revealed or even a partially masked head with the nanotech beginning to form the mask. Mezco has done this with a list of figures Black Adam, all of the Spider-Man releases( should’ve come with alternate heads or battle damaged heads, etc.) they just half ass some things at times. Get your panties out of a bunch..people are allowed to voice their opinion. But I guess it’s also nonsense when Marvel Legends collectors, SHF collectors and so forth hop on and bitch about the same things over & over..but god forbid someone speak ill about Mezco..FOH

so the only ones who hasn't made a Black Panther figure so far are Figma and MAFEX. And no one has nailed the Chadwick face so far except Hasbro got close in the Umbaku BAF wave. The Chris Hemsworth faces have almost been spot on several times. He is the only one so far that so closely resembles the actor in the film. Figuarts isn't trying to do faces it seems if there is a mask involved.

That necklace overlay is really upsetting the sleekness of the figure as it doesn't sit flush around his shoulders and looks clunky. Sticks out like a sore thumb especially being attached to the neck 'sleeve' it looks like those giant rubber Halloween masks that come down to the chest. Very disappointing for Mezco, I expected each tooth of the necklace to be a seperate piece connected to the fabric of the suit. It's really put me off getting him :(

Is it just me or does the legends one look like it has man boobs? I want this version because I think the design is very seamless and clean. Whereas the articulation you see on the legends and SHF one interrupt the aesthetic in my opinion.

I own quite a few One:12 already and have more coming this year, but I'm not really digging this one. I think the more muscle detail on the figures from ML, SHF and the upcoming Mafex look a lot better for this character. Mezco bodies tend to look bulky and that's not how Black Panther is built, he's very toned but more slender than what we are seeing here. Their bodies look great on a character like Batman, not so much for Black Panther. I'm super curious how the Mafex turns out, it might end up being the best of all four if they can do the unmasked head justice, because IMO Mezco kinda dropped the ball on it here. Remember these are $80+ figures... I think we can expect a better likeness for these prices.

Personal Opinion: Skin tight fabric suits are inferior to plastic suits because the moment you get into really dynamic posing...the stretching and bunching throw the aesthetics off.
