I actually discovered your channel due to your video for the custom Sovereign Knight. In that one you used the regular RIT instead of the synthetic, which I guess is the only difference (you don't need to use it on the stove top to maintain high temperature). You got the Sovereign Knight suit much darker. Was that because you used a lot of RIT dye? How much?

Great question. Regular Rit is perfect for standard fabric. The original sovereign is pretty much standard fabric with some rubber pieces overlayed on it. The supreme Knight in the other hand is pretty much giant rubber overlays fastened to a fabric bodysuit completely covering it. Anytime you want to dye a material like rubber or plastic you must use synthetic as it’s formulated to bond to those materials but only at high temperatures. As for getting sovereign much darker that was my intention, with this one I didn’t want to get it quite that dark I wanted it to just be a darker gray. Had I used some more dye and left it in longer I could’ve easily got this one black as well! Thank you for watching!

Do you think that Rit All Purpose DYE will work on Mezco? It's the only Rit avaliable in Poland 😒
@fanboysforever2 жыл бұрын
I think it’s worth a try. I would say it just wouldn’t stick quite as well and may take being dunked longer. Good luck!

is the magnet on his neck okay after you boiling him like that? i thought the heat would make the magnet weaker.
@fanboysforever3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it didn’t hurt it at all in terms of magnetism, I just had to reglue it into place in the neck and it was fine.

Have you ever tried to improve the ankle articulation on this figure?
@fanboysforever3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t ever tried that, would I need to sand down some of the ankle area? He definitely needs better ankle movement!
