When I do this exercise in the afternoon it is a bit easier. So I do Alto in the morning and mezzo in the afternoon. Thank you. These have really helped me.

I'm naturally an alto but I'm trying to improve my range so I tried this( I usually do the alto warm up) and I I feel like my higher notes are much stronger and less strained...thank you so much for this

These have been absolutely invaluable over the past 6 months...so grateful for Aussie Vocal Coach!! I jumped back into community theater doing 42nd Street after a 12 year break and these videos got my voice into great shape for auditions and the show. I'm an alto/mezzo range and started with the alto ones, but found the mezzo ones prepared my voice more for the higher songs. Over time my voice and range definitely got stronger...definitely appreciate warming up so many different areas of the voice. I'm so glad I had a bit of a drive to rehearsals so this could be part of my daily routine in the car. God bless you Ian thank you for your work!

This is great. Perfectly for my range. No nonsense talking Straight to the point I do wish however that the instructor would continue to sing along. It really bothers me when they don't. I know there's reason for it but it really helps me
@heatherfeather12934 жыл бұрын
Oh yay! I'm a contralto, but I could still hit the higher notes here. Maybe I'll use both warmups (alto and mezzo). No matter how hard I try, I CANNOT go above A5. But I am also a beginner singer so hopefully my range improves with practice

Oh, I loved it, so refreshing when the vocalization has creative ways, I really enjoyed it, I will practice this every day with my other vocalization practices. Thank You, it was very fun to do it and a bit challenging to adapt to the new combination of sounds which makes a new step forward, and I know I need to practice more the ear to new combinations and finding my voice with them. So useful. EK

Thank you so much, very handy to practice. I will follow it with my other vocal warm-up practices.
Great set of exercises.....nice beat too to keep it fun and upbeat! :) Can a contralto do it - my comfortable singing range is D3-D5 but my voice can reach higher/lower if needed. Thanks!!
@Equinox1.55 жыл бұрын
There's a video for contralto warm-ups, too. It goes a bit lower than this one. I use both.

I have difficulty with the #8 pharyngeal exercise. I think this is a weak area of mine. My middle voice is hard for me to use. I am often in my chest but can easily flip into head but have a hard time blending these two. It has been the bane of my existence! It is often limiting in the choice of my music. I work on this a lot by choosing songs that take me to the trouble spot but I never seem to get much better. Is there possibly a physiological reason this is difficult for me or do I just need to do some very specific work for this?

I could do the alto warm up effortlessly so I wanted to try the warm up for mezzo soprano (high alto) as well but was straining my vocal cords. Will it get easier the more I do it, or does it mean I am solely an alto voice?

Hi Ian i wanted to know how do you tackle from mucus in the throat bcoz im suffering from it alot.....and as they say you dont wanna clear your throat everytime..so what should be done??? and i specifically wanted to know that what do you do on a regular basis to avoid this??? And I wanted to thank you for all these videos they are very helpful and your channel is a hidden gem.
@readyandsettochangeplace66205 жыл бұрын
You have to do enough exercise to have your fluids under control and with daily vocalization, tea and water it will be solved, we all gather mucus in our systems when we sleep, so when you work out and practice enough your voice and breathing the mucus clears out.
