I have said it before I will say it again. I prefer focus fire for allowing you to save headspace for dodging abilities on tracer but doing only slightly less damage than locked and loaded. It does scale with untouchable and even grants a little extra leeching round to it as well. Doing anything less than 100% uptime on locked and loaded will result in lower dps (did the math on this) than focus fire. So really if you think you will EVER miss the minigame, just pick focus fire. Doing some napkin math one can find that if you even miss once on locked and loaded, you have less damage for 7 mags before you catch up to focus fire. So just do focus fire. It is more consistent.

lvl20 talent only sync with lock , taht is a huge amount of dmg diff. With lock+the lvl20 talent you can 100 to zero a Tass or a zag even without you ult, and there is no other talent could let you do that. If you play a champ, play to its full potential.

Lock and load is not something that have to occupy the cache of your brain, as it is a fix amount time with a fixed frequency, all you need to do is build muscle memory through Practice, I do lock N load and I am still a side step king. It just doesn’t take me to think about it anymore.

When I started playing hots, I thought that the skippy cup cool-down was for the entire team instead of each hero, so I never used it and always hearthed back to base 🙃

9:30 What Pally is talking about here is part of the DOTA2 Player Mentality: In Dota 2, last hitting can mean the difference between winning and losing, especially if you're the Carry and your Support is the one stealing your kills or your creeps early game. There are so many people back when I played Dota 2 that simply rage quit games all because their own Support is making their game a living hell! This is why if you are a beginner at MOBAs and you want an easy experience without too much risk, HOTS is where you should begin. The only Hero in HOTS that cares about Last Hitting is Nazeebo BTW!

Nazeebo doesn't care about last hitting, they just need to die with his poison on them (so within 6s of being hit). Azmodan is a better example with things needing to die within 1.5s of being hit by globe

Hey Pallytime, I have been loving your content since around 2015; mostly Heroes of the Storm but also other gems like Dead Space way back in the day. Some years ago I made a comment comparing Tracer’s Locked and Loaded vs Focus Fire and why I think the latter is superior. Locked and Loaded deals 40% more damage per shot if reloaded within a certain grace period. In the case of Focus Fire, if you unload a whole magazine on a single unit, then the last shot will deal an additional 80 damage. Which the talent states is 35% of the magazine’s total damage. Wiki gets this number by assuming Tracer’s currently doing 23 damage per shot. So now let’s do some math: Locked and Loaded would do 32 damage per shot (40% more damage), so the whole magazine does 320 damage. Focus Fire’s whole magazine would deal a total of 310 damage (230 + 80). This is why I think Focus Fire is a much superior talent, it deals virtually the same damage but you don’t have to worry about manually hitting Reload during her reloading animation. Having Focus Fire truly makes Locked and Loaded redundant in my opinion. You simply chase down a target and you get pretty much the same damage as Locked and Loaded.

I haven't played HOTS in years and have been playing LOL in that time instead, and that comment about why people dislike Blackheart's Bay really resonated with me. It made me realize that, at least for me, playing Jungle is essentially like playing HOTS. I'm trying my best to do the neutral objectives, but my team is trying their best to not do them - whether it be dying or afking or backing at inopportune times. Then we lose and everyone is all, "TEAM GAP", but in my head I'm all, "that's a priorities gap" Some shit just never changes I guess.

if you wanna try a build that gets cracked at 20 then do all the same talents but pick up Chrono Triggers at 20, you melee someone and then unload 80% bonus damage into them uninterrupted for 3 seconds straight while healing rapidly, it completely fucking demolishes anything that's not a tank

a lot, and i mean A LOT of tracer learing is limit testing. i am approaching lvl 100 on the character and i started managing to make untouchable reliably work from lvl 50 onward. its very far from being reliable for starters, but when you learn it it is one of the few heroes you can actually carry games with in heroes of the storm

Totally unrelated to the gameplay but I don’t understand the level system in this game, I do understand the 1771 levels Pally has but what’s up with the 3 “dots” or badges? I’ve seen people with 1700 levels but no badges? How do they generate?

Im still urging him to get focus fire. Bro procced it literally less that 15 times the entire game. In one mag focus fire is only 7 less damage but he would have procced it every fight. If you miss the gears of war minigame even once it takes you seven mags to make up for the damage difference between focus fire. Idk why he doesn’t pick it. If that weren’t enough it takes a bit off the mental stack to focus better in dodging everything.

@@atsukana1704 focus fire can be a good middleground. unfortunately it can often miss, as you need to hit the entire clip without anything happening. gears of war is only up to you, and it should become second nature to not take any mental toll (same as any type of micro button press)
