This band is so special, I can't describe it. The way the lyrics are written and delivered are absolutely incredible and of the highest caliber. In addition, the drumming is completely sublime, and fits this interesting rock niche, using very interesting accents, while also being incredibly metal. On top of this, the guitars and bass are so perfect for the genre, and have really great hooks. This band is something special.

The most interesting take about the lyrics in this song is that the very first line is an honest and straight out nihilistic line, they give you that so you can tell already where this is going, so you think:"damn straight up in the first line, this is gonna be good", only for them to hit you with the second line, "And it only gets worse since that conclusion"...like damn, not only they tell you what this album is about but also how deep this is gonna get. And from there on even though you got the concept, they hit you with some of the darkest most negativity inducing and depressing lyrics about how futile is the existence of human kind and how we're filled with a never ending despiration and blindness, the disappointment in expressed throughout the lyrics is simply too real. If that second line was very much intentional, then that has to be one of the most coldest moves ever made in the history of black metal.

If you didnt know most of these lyrics are taken from a book named "the struggle of being born" by romanian philosopher Emil Cioran

This is black metal in its purest form of art. Mgła lyrics should be studied in university as black-metal-existentialist philosophy. With Gustave Dore background, credits to the author of the video for the great taste.

Agree. And Mgla transcend what could seem like a first year uni student throwing 'deep' words on a page...though admit imho EiF V is THE masterpiece in this album. Naprawde wazne.

Gustav Doré's paintings are black metal art in the straight sense. Black-and-white, human faces in despair, grotesque figures, etc. Ironic is that he made a lot of images to illustrate christian books. I wonder what would he think of his images being used for this.

@@faust8218 I sad "black-metal" existentialist philosophy. Mine was a way to express appreciation, not a literal statement. Emil Cioran was a fascinating character, I like him.

@David Martin Portmann So what I did not write this lyric? They represent my country so I can be proud. Whats more do you think writing lyric like this is something special for me? I can use brain I'm Polish. I have no reason to write lyric if I don't have band. I'm also not earning money as a poet or writer. And this is not only lyric but also music if you want listen to lyric buy audiobook with some Wiliam Shakespeare poems and so on. Some people maybe think your hairs fell out because of thinking but I know this is only shaved head (don't change avater so people will not miss the point of this comment). PS. Don't try be clever to avoid premature annihilation.

@David Martin Portmann I get the point. Your comment is ambiguous. I can be proud as someone belongs to nation like parents can be proud because of their kids. So if you didn't precise your statement you couldn't expect I miss second meaning. I can love or hate I can be sweet or salty but finally I'm not sure do I have any feelings.
