Airbag is not to just casually turn off if i am driving alone... if a kid is sitting in the front seat it could injure the kid more than the accident itself.. and its also supposed to be turned off when a person sitting infront seat is holding a child.

Are u sure about gear lock feature? In Astor Owner's Manual....i could not find such feature. Moreover it is written that this slot is to be used if the shift lever is not moving out of Parking gear position. In such emergency only....this slot to be used. Please clarify.
