Great video. Adding my experience/issues with my CVT Savvy: 1. Mileage is 7 kmpl. (As tested by the service center agent, on road, in my presence.) 2. The SIM connectivity issue - no connectivity for 4-5 hours on the stretch, and not just in areas where there might be poor network. I have had normal and poor connectivity at the same spot at different times.

Thank you! Thanks for writing I would like to add on what you have said 1) a car needs to be driven for atleast 100kms to check its mileage :) I am getting 11 from my turbo savvy within the city. 2. Your point in 100% correct. It depends on internet connection Actually there are issues which will be resolved with new updates in future! Bahut badhiya se aapne sabke questions ke baare me answer kia hai aapne with enough required answers. 👏 MapmyIndia ka experience hamara bahut badhia raha hai. Usme narrow road avoidance jaisa bahut useful feature hai jo narrow roads avoid karta hai while making route map. Aur bhi bahut features hai. Also jab ham log highway pe hote hai aur ek road neeche ki or jaati hai aur ek road upar ki or flyover ki or, mapmyindia visual presentation deta hai image dikhakr and arrow maarta hai image me showing ki aapko highway ke upar jaana hai ya neeche se which is very much helpful because sometimes google maps me samajh nahi aata hai ki neeche ki road lena hai ki upar ki. So Mapmyindia excels in that. Also speaker 6 ki jagah 8 de dete to badhia hota. Speaker ki quality nice hai but read seat passengers ko wo feeling nahi aayegi song ki jaisi front seats walon ko aayegi.

Hey... Writing to you after so long... But must say, amazing video with amazing information. I too have driven my AT Turbo, for about 4800km so far.... Must say, I would not have expected more from this innovative Car. Literally enjoying this and 100% agree to each n every feedback of yours. The only weaknesses that I see in this high end car are , automatic glass window closers while parking, automatic hydraulic boot door closer (which is available in hector), and front bumper sensors for safety. Thts it. Otherwise, everything else is amazing.

Hi. Thank you for the very informative video. Q1. Can we get the automatic windows close device from local car accessories dealer and does it void the warranty. Q2. The ac temp hi low has a single blue color bar, should it not have the two colors like when we raise temp it should show red and when we lower temp is should come to blue, as this helps to identify the setting easily.

Hi Prakash. You covered many things that were missing in almost every Astor walk throughs and reviews. Excellent job. My doubt is regarding the usb port near the IRVM. I understand it will be useful for connecting a dashcam but most of the dashcams need 12V power supply. Does this port give 12v? If not, can you suggest any good dashcam that runs on 5 V?

12v power supply means that the max power it can absorb is 12v! Usbs are generally 5v and all dashcams works like a charm! No worriies! My personal fav is amzn.to/3m3WmZx

Reset your accumulated info and go for a drive and check the mileage! Manual is giving a good mileage! Your driving technique will also matter as in giving mileage! So please check that too!

I agree to this brother! But the issue is with the chip if there was no shortage then MG would have been able to supply more cars! It's a chain issue!

I am seriously not aware about the fact that the high varients are easily available as compared to the style varient! I do understand the emotional frustration that you are going through due to this delay. But( I Not trying to justify anyone) (as MG is not my Maternal uncle shop) companies seek profit! When they sell big models the profit margin increases and that's why they are delivering savvy more than style! General market situation! Even if you ask me - i would love to sell things having higher cost as compared to the one having lower cost due to obvious reasons Nonetheless I am hopeful that you car wil come soon and you will give me that good news very soon 😀

Hi Prakash, thank you for creating such informative videos on MG Astor. I have a question and I really want you to test and answer so that I can finalise my decision for this car. There is no extra lock type mechanism for door lock inside the car like other cars (ertiga, creta, etc) to open the doors. Although I saw you opening it 2 times to successfully open the front door. My question is if you are at say 60 kmph and a child/ person accidentally opens the door from inside by pulling the door opening lever once, will the door get opened ? Tata Altroz and Volkswagen Polo doors opens at high speed from inside when we pull the lever once. Can you please confirm if it is the same in MG Astor ? Maybe you can create a video on this and it will help you channel as well. Because it is sort of a fearsome issue if not taken care. Your response is really appreciated. Thanks.

If someone pulls the lever once even it high speeds, the door opens which could be dangerous/ fatal. And bcoz of this reason only I skipped Altroz/ Polo. 👍 answers And talking about spakers of top models they're good , i mean the segement has same quality of output just the difference is The Koreans just put a BOSE name nothing much AND for the added bass turning on the loudness in the sound setting in astor will increase anyone's fun who wanted to listen High BASS

I am so happy to hear this!! I will definitely make a video on MID! The startup mode will always be radio ..all you can do is change the FM to DRM so that there is no sound but ultimately you will have to change the mode from FM to Jio for your music choice!

Nope! It will create problems if you see dust and tree branches over the top of your car and still you open and close it! If before opening the same you clean it, it will never create problems for you!

I took delivery of MGASTOR SHARP CVT variant. I see there is a lot of heat generated from the engine bay even with 5mins of idle running. The bonnet gets heated and people standing nearby the car can also feel the heat. When I checked with the service center they say it is usual only and there are no abnormalities found in the engine. They also said while running the coolant will take care of the overall heating or cooling issues. Is this the same with all ASTOR vehicles ? Have you felt the same heating inside the bonnet ?

Honestly speaking I have never felt aur even thought to go near the bonnet after driving for long distances. This is a unique issue that we are discussing here so maybe I need to to drive the vehicle for few kilometres and then check ok that temperature. If the service centre is of the view that there are no issues then I think they might be right. For your full satisfaction what you can do this go to another service centre and show them your vehicle tell them your issue maybe the the service advisor there will be able to tell you No doubt the coolant keeps the car engine in a control temperature. But I would still say a try it with some other service centre.

I need a SUV kind of a vehicle with sunroof, family drive for 5 member. It will be occasional drive mostly 500-600km per month. Astor seems to be interesting with AI and large sunroof. Taken test drive of Astor sharp MT, it seems to have a lag in exhilarating response, otherwise a wise features are good. Heard on review that base variant is also loaded with same features like in top end, however only 2/3 features are additional in top variant. Please suggest.

The fifth seat in the car which can be said to be the middle seat of the back seat is not comfortable. As you mentioned that you are a family of 5 so I would request you to check the same thoroughly! Sharp MT is a good as an over-all package! XUV 300 drives well buy interior doesn't feel premium! Are you planning to take the delivery in few weeks/momthsm

Hi Prakash, thanks for the detailed video. Which variant will give better mileage? CVT or Turbo AT? I am considering Sharp CVT but open for Turbo AT if it gives better mileage (riding wise I am satisfied with CVT as I would primarily be driving in city). Other option is Creta (considering these 2 just because of panaromic sunroof). Almost wanting to go for Astor but a bit hesitant due to low mileage reviews (5-6).

First of all brother i can't suggest ex Varient! Secondly there are mixed reviews about the vehicle being not powerful enough! Some says it's ok and some feels it's terrible! It might not be as punchy as it should have been but it that's what is it! Feel free to revert 🙂

The pickup issue is evident in hills and not on plain roads! I still need to test the same before coming on any kind of judgement! Hopefully next week i will get an Astor to be driven on sharp slopes

A slight increase will be there while the car is used Between 12 noon to 4pm It's a heat resistant glass so it makes sure that it prevents warming ...but it's not 100% heat resistant! Secondly if in summers i feel that the sunroof is creating problems,i will get 3m heat resistant film installed. It will double the heat reduction! I am sure that would be sufficient!!

Apparently infinity provides the speakers, used to be class leaders sometime back. Surprising why did they not upto the mark. I’m sure the subsequent facelift’s will be much better

Once your iPhone is connected go to app and just search for the destination..you will get it on the screen! If you want to send a route to the navigation device then it has to be done via iSMART app! Simple solution to Auto hold- 1. Put in drive 2. Move for 10-20 meters and press auto hold 3. You can see a red light (must put seatbelt’s on, to activate) It will start holding when you stop/ come to halt. You can just press acceleration and it will pick up again.
