MG Midget '67 rear brake system rebuilt

After having solved the previous problem with the fuel pump and enjoying my drive, another issue came up (what a surprise!!).
I noticed that the rear right wheel was dragging a bit and at some point it started smoking. So I knew there was a problem with my rear brakes and I had to pull up my sleeves (once again) and look into it.
So in this video, I'm replacing the drums, the shoes, the wheel cylinders and the rubber brake hose. I also do an adjustment on the handbrake, ensuring a nice and safe braking of the rear brakes of my little Midget.
Please let me know what you might have done different and what have I missed. Please share your knowledge with me and teach me things!

Another job done good. Do they make a disk replacement kit. I got a 66 mustang and anytime I did the rear brakes I would say next time I’m putting in disk brakes even though I kept it mostly original

Thanks so much, Marc! They do have kits to convert it to disc brakes, and it'll be much better with that, giving zero issues. But like you said, the reason I keep it that way is to keep it original

6:42 how did you apply that retention ring? It feels like we have to stretch it.

I have to admit that I found it very difficult!! It took me ages to put it in place. I used a small hammer in the end to force it into its groove!
