T-6061 is a general purpose aluminum used for many applications; there is nothing special or "spacey" about it. A lot of aluminum cans are made of the same stuff.

$200 on a set of Caliper Covers? I don't think so! I just changed pads and rotors on a 2014 accord on all 4s with top shelf Tire Rack rotors and pads and it cost the same. Too Expensive!!

People complain about the price but don't realize that this not all of these covers are high production products. Each different shape probably required at least 2 punch press dies , possibly a third die to add the lettering. It is all a matter of volume too and these guys are maybe making 10,000 covers a year. I think in the long run these will hold up better than the AooA covers. Those are die cast aluminum and all those doodads added on after painting are probably glued on. They look good new but it won't take long and they'll be falling apart. These MGP covers all those details are stamped into the surface and will never fall apart. MGP should put together a little video on how much work and investment goes into their products.

Guys never every buy this garbage. I found about MGP on KZbin. I ordered and was excited to see them on calipers. They are kept shifting, can't stay at one place. Caliper cover caused scratch inner part. I called mgp and sent them 3 time. Horrible customer. I wish if in.

Each arm is welded at the front plate but the rest of the arm is free to adjust without snapping. No clue how these guys are still in business. I suppose it’s due to their advertising and the amount of spread they have over major after-market websites. Therefore, no one really knows of other options out there. Ngl I was going to purchase this brand but I did some more digging and there’s way cooler looking ones out there that are not only cheaper, but they hold up the same. For the price of these you can literally get a full brand new set of painted calipers. Pretty nuts if you ask me.

With 20/20 hindsight, if buying from them, I would just buy the blank cover and purchase a vinyl sticker for a much cheaper option to make my vehicle symmetrical. Next time I’m looking for custom work I will try CCI Caliper covers instead. Call ahead and ask questions before you buy, don’t just go off of the website or photos.

The Tundra has a very complicated shape, so we have to develop a completely new forming die in order to produce a set for this application. We are actually already in the development stage and expect to have a solution available within a couple months.

Save your money if you have a 2022 Audi A3- THE FRONT COVERS WILL NOT FIT. The rear covers WILL fit, however they will loosen, rub the rotor & cause annoying squeals. Calls & emails to "customer service" go unanswered. They won't accept returns because you will have opened the box & attempted to fit these. I lost $248 bucks and got lots of aggravation for it in return. Paint your calipers instead.

I ordered mine last year, I am just now getting around to installing them on my 2018 4Runner. I just had my rims powder coated (black) I have a red set. The rear pair fit snugged and perfectly. The front pair did not fit as snug. I took them off. I don’t know if I need brackets to for the front or not BUT they looked FANTASTIC! I just can’t put the front pair because they are loose.. can y’all assist me in this issue??

Had the same issue with my set for my 2019 Honda CRV and when driving they scraped against the wheel and made a squealing sound. I’m just trying to modify them a slight bit at a time a re install. Frustrating beyond belief!

@@stephelawson I ended up getting spacers. That helped to due to the spacers giving me 1" 1/2. I could not use the front calipers because they were damaged on the first install, so I ordered the red calipers covers from Toyota and used them for the front. I get compliments all the time.

I ended up getting 1/8” spacers to give a little more clearance but I also had to use high heat silicone to secure the clips from slopping around and that seemed to keep the fronts secure. So far so good! They do look fantastic but they sure took some mucking about to get them right! 👍🏻

What's the failure %age of that small "lock nut" coming undone after time? Also from what I u/stand, the fronts apply differently than the rears and a slightly different application, right? Viewing one of the application videos where the installer (you?) pull slightly to lift and place the cover over and on top of the screw, it appears that the caliper covers bows a good bit and doesn't afford that tight, flush mount that it should receive so it's tucked clearly away from the wheel.

Had these on my PT cruiser for 4 years and getting them for my Crossfire. Expensive however they look way better than these people painting their calipers . Always stay clean and actually help reduce brake dust on the outer rim . The riveted bolt is crap it will rust and snap on your first brake pad change. I simply drilled it out and used stainless steel nuts and screws instead
