Break down the Cloud move that you did around 9:35 to access the effects that included something about the SP 1200 and MPC. Were those different quantization presets or something else? The way it felt into the pocket instantly is incredible! The composition then sounded and felt like the ducking technique was being used. You are absolutely right that the beat selection process that many rappers use does not inspire producers to actually get better in their level of music production. The dog chases its tail too much based upon what is receiving airplay that may be either months behind or have a very short lifespan slightly longer than a housefly lol 😂 Another great video and your compositions have gotten lighter and more addictive to hear now that you are not seeking to work with rappers. That’s why more people are reaching out to you to do collaborations lol 😂 Everyone wants what they cannot get and why our attention is always being desired by those who would waste our time 😲!
@MGTheFuture6 жыл бұрын
Those Quantize presets were made by a guy called "coffee grooves" from the original hardware, and converted to Studio one. It does well for timing, but doesn't compensate for Velocity - which is equally important. Melodyne lets you analyze velocity from drum breaks and timing - which can then be saved as midi and applied in any program with a groove pool willing to receive it. I have GRAND ideas about doing that - like a library of 100 - I just never get around to it. Or I start, and lose my presets when I switch machines or update...yikes But yeah I feel my self "dumbing down" - and I think thats always been the key, ironically
@RoneySmithseedoflife6 жыл бұрын
MG The Future That’s an amazing, virtually untapped world of presets! I’m sensing that the removal of stress of things not happening as fast as desired goes a long way to enriching all music. The entire music industry has suffered for adopting the mass production and calendar driven systems.

Sup bro. Im MG studio one vid diving at 3:58am and on this vid when you turned on the Fat Channel 16:41, i noticed that it was not on. Sad thing is when i turned it on in Studio One, its not on either. Sadly, you have to turn it to ON on the plugin to begin to hear the sound difference. No disrespect. Just what I noticed.

Hey MG, truly grateful for all the gems shared on your channel. Made the switch from Reason 10 to StudioOne because of you and Craftmaster Productions. My workflow has improved tremendously. However, as you know Reason comes with the Groove Mixer that has all of the MPC presets preinstalled. This is the one thing that I feel I am missing from my Reason Workflow. Found CMP's video on using MPC Grooves in StudioOne and thought my problems were over, but was unable to install the presets he provided. I ran across this video in my search for StudioOne Groove Templates but Logic Caf is no longer available in the PreSonus Exchange. Any suggestions?

First of all i would like to thank you for taking the time to create tutorials and educate the world with the knowledge you have obtained. I also had a question about the studio one bounce selection , mix down selection , and transform midi to audio, every time i try to do any of them it only mutes te current midi track but does not create the audio track below it. Do you know if there is something i need to turn on to get t his to work or is it a routing issue. im using the mpc ren as my audio interface can that be the issue? that is a big function when using serato sample to be able to copy to audio and extract to chord track for the follow bass 808 patterns.
@MGTheFuture5 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I've never used a mpc sync'd with studio one however. Whenever I bounce a single external midi device track, S1 records the audio in real time just fine.
@frostdavis41475 жыл бұрын
@@MGTheFuture I'm only using the mpc for the audio interface to generate sound and I don't have it synced. The bounce selection feature just doesn't work for some reason and I can't figure it out.... Thanks for your input and I will keep searching for answers. I'm gonna get some popcorn and watch some more of your videos. Thanks again!

MG The Future I don't see any benefits to use MPC anymore if you are ok to work on beats with computer to be honest. S1 is years ahead. No side-chain, way worde mixer options. I just bought audio interface and I'm really glad. I has something like 30 ma latency (21 output one) previously with Ren and a lot of problems like disodtion. Now it was plug &play on my Mac .
