MH Rise Sunbreak Lv. 300 Magnamalo (Gunlance) - 6'49 (TA Wiki) PS5

Overall a pretty fun matchup for gunlance. his grabs tho are a bit annoying tho. if you get grabbed, you have to get your groundsplitter buff again. the fast grab is hard to react to if you're not expecting it. he seems to do it alot at the beginning of the fight after he roars so you can prepare for that one, but the others he does through the match can be tricky to handle. the grab with the longer windup is also a bit tricky to dodge even more so. it's harder to redirection as the timing is a bit weird with it. i like to blast dash away and then go right back in with groundsplitter to rebuff or blastdash to the back of the feet after he's done spinning around. other than the grabs, the matchup is pretty tame. pretty much just abusing backwards blastdash i frames or redirectioning if anything else is unsafe.

Man awesome video! I just recently bought sunbreak and I was wondering how is it that you can dodge attacks when switching scrolls? I’ve tried doing it but it doesn’t work as how I’ve seen other youtubers do it

if you're talking about the dodge where im hopping back after i get hit once i switch scrolls, that dodge is tied to a skill called redirection. you can get it as a decoration later on and it's on some armors. you only get that dodge tho at redirection lvl 2. and thank you for watching!

A friend of mine that just started sunbreak mains GL, we're both curious about how do you manage to seemingly reload while switching scrolls, is that a skill I missed? Some weird interaction? A rampage skill I've somehow not yet unlocked? Some button combo? I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to figure it out for him without any success.

it's the skill heaven sent. while it give you back sharpness everytime you swap or infinite if you level 3. for gunlance, it has the added effect of reloading all gunlance bullets and wyrmstake. with heaven sent tho, you can't get hit for 30 seconds or 15 seconds if you have level 2 for it to activate.if you or him keep getting hit, it just won't activate. you'll also lose the buff if you get hit while it's active. also thank you for watching
