Not even considering the smart environmental play, I think you do fantastically with GL. Or maybe GL is just that much better in Rise. Do you think GL is in a good place? This is faster than the fastest LS time I've seen (6:30ish), but they also didn't BULLY AND ABUSE Mizu with Rathian.

I see this performance and wonder why Japanese players are rating the weapon so low on their tierlist, is it because it wil inevitably fall behind compared to other weapons like it did in world?

It will. At the end of the day it's still a chunkier weapon with long winded combo, unless a fantastic wide GL will be there at launch. But tierlist is mostly based on speed performance not how fun the weapons are.
