Hi Michael, my name is Buck. I just had my Skywest interview and I rocked it of course thanks for all the tips. I just love your videos. Totally expecting a job. Offer here any day.. the interview was very easy and lots of fun. I also think the interview prep session was wonderful and a must do. I look forward to flying with you in the air. See you soon.

How would you recommend the AA cadet program? I’ve heard good and bad things on it. A friend of mine is a captain at American already and he did recommend it. He also said ATP would be good. Although I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about ATP.

Yes that is one way of doing it as well. I think 15k is a very very good deal, probably hard to come by. And no including any of the maintenance cost. I have no experience with buying a plane so I didn’t say too much about on it. But definitely an option as well

Hey Micheal I want to become an airline pilot with the goal of getting there sooner than later… my question is it worth going to a flight college and getting a bachelors degree or should I focus on just going to flight school instead, or flight school with online college degree?? Pretty much is it worth getting a degree?
@MichaelHsu95
@MichaelHsu95 7 ай бұрын
If you get a degree at a flight college you only need 1000 hours to get into the airlines but that degree might take up to 3 years where you can get 1500 hours in 3 years. There’s many ways to get to your destination. Getting a degree is always helpful, but it’s not necessary to become an airline pilot

Thanks mate, great video. I’m an Australian student, and just commenced my flight training over here in San Diego. At 53, I was hoping to get my name down for the Skywest program, but unfortunately for me, they require a social security number, which I can’t get on my training visa….otherwise I’d get my name on quick smart. Really enjoying the flight training, and really enjoy your videos. Thanks again.

@@abelfransciscorosalesgrana9862 its definitely hard with low seniority since you won’t be able to choose your days off or choose the trips you want. When you are just starting off you have to work whatever you get. However when you become more senior you’ll be able to choose the days off you want and it’ll be easier to balance work and life. There is no right way to do it as everyone has different needs. I would say do what is best for you and your family

Part 61 sounds great because it's cheaper and I can get it done quicker. But it doesn't really matter because I wont be able to get my atp until i'm 23. But with a 141 I can get a degree and be able to fly at 21, I also could get an athletic and academic scholarship. Not a lot but still some money. I'm not sure which way is better for my age since I have some restrictions. Is there any advise you could give? I want to be a atp pilot as soon as possible. What do I do? Thanks!
