Have you tried the Lagom Mini yet? Lance Hedrick says it has an extremely clean cup as well but it doesn't suffer as much from retention. Similar cord mess too 😆

Im looking into getting my first espresso setup. Probably gonna get a flair and this looks like a great, not super expensive grinder. Definitely gonna look into getting this

Hey thanks! I do plan to get into long form again, but unfortunately not focused on coffee. The coffee community is just so draining that I need some other kind of creative outlet. I do plan on getting more short form out though and there's a possibility that I get a second wind at some point to bring long form coffee back into the fold

For sure! I did enjoy the coffee from the stock burrs of this grinder over the stock VS3 burrs though. I imagine that when the new burr sets for the VS3 drop that it'll have me revisiting that comparison

Is the wood real? I purchased a portafilter from them and they insist its real walnut but the handle looks and feels like fake wood plastic trim that you have in cheap cars and 80's furniture.

Got 2 used varios for less than this. The small form factor is nice, but the sound of small grinder like this is not nice.
