That's true yes, like the torch pods for example can clear some "safe-spots" against the effluvia mist when fighting Blackveil Vaal Hazak.

out of topic but does anyone knows why im getting one shoted with my bow build ? i have 1012 defense and im getting obliterated by non tempered monsters

Depends on what monster/attack it is but if it's physical attacks killing you then i should point out that all ranged weapon users in MHW take more damage from physical and less from elemental. So if you were to change to a melee weapon with the exact same defense and try to take the exact same hit that killed you on bow, you would see a difference in damage taken. Hope this answers your question.

Out of curiosity are you running max health decos with that? the extra health + food buff is almost mandatory in master rank.

What weapon are you playing support on? Hunting Horn support builds on this are amazing, as are SnS. You won't be able to save team-mates if they make zero effort though on either gearing for it or trying to dodge the worst attacks.

@@Jandabeargaming Thanks, I am using hunting horn actually. Unfortunately people don't take enough resist/health and can't dodge, so they seem to die to Namielles big attack even with full HP and my HH 20% defense boost. But I will keep trying, bound to get a good team eventually!

It's an event quest currently running until the 7th of sept for master rank levels. Iceborne is a requirement.

This fight is super easy with long gunlance, either that or I just suck with most other weapons :p

I would always urge players to tackle new monsters with what they are most comfortable. Having said that, never shy away from trying some other weapons as it makes it feel like a whole different experience 😃
