With a lot of monsters, I try to understand their AI and learn what to do to get them into a good exploitation position. A lot of times, this allows me to trivialise the monster and stagger them into the ground.
This is not one of those times. Silver Rathalos is RNG filled filth for GL and I would not wish to do this again. I got the time but good god, this was a diceroll of a hunt.

How useful do you think Evade Window is for Gunlance? I never botered to try it out much but you seem to be dodging through a lot of attacks in this fight. Also you put the WSB on Slos' head? I usually put it on his feet to get more knowdowns, but the flinches you get from the head seem to also be really useful.

Evade window is very useful in my opinion, I always prioritise it over guard, especially with something like Tigrex or Zinogre. And yeah, we tried to do leg knockdowns originally on stream, but going for dunks (as the downtime is longer compared to a trip) was more fruitful.

@@Troyead i could be wrong but im pretty sure dunks can only be triggered by hitting the head on monsters that fly. Take my reply with a grain of salt though. I honestly suck at silver raths fight

With the WSB, yes, because it essentially adds a second damage tick every hit with a shell, in this case Charged Shell since that's what Long GL excels at
