As someone pointed out in the reddit comments after a roll your fastest shortcut to TCS is Roll---Wide Swing----Slinger Burst----TCS and not the shoulder tackle to side blow combo. Although if you need the hyper armor from the tackle use that combo to chain into TCS
Haha I kinda lied in the end of the video there. I’m currently working on the scripts of swag steps part 2 that is gonna go over evasion on SA Axe mode. The key word is counter-repositioning. But I didn’t have enough footage so the video will have to wait until I play enough SA in the beta

@@toml7320 There´s a camera setting you can change called Reticle Direction. Change to Camera´s Direction, so when you aim the reticle will appear where the camera is pointing to instead of where the character is facing.

I felt i was missing something when i tried to play GS in Iceborne. First, you are the kind of person who remind me why KZbin was awesome back in the day, when videos like this were far more popular than these wanna be MH "masters". You simply KNOW this weapon and i would love for you to make other videos if you ever decide to play another weapon or you think you could give some tips. Second, thanks for all the tips and tricks. They ACTUALLY show why GS is still on top.

I'm super late to this party but I just wanted to say something... Holy moly my eyes have been opened. This video (after going into a solo hunt and just messing around with the stuff you've shown here) has changed the game for me. I've never landed so many back-to-back TCS's ever and on my first attempt it all just... worked. I was enjoying the GS but you've just introduced me to a whole new layer of depth (and fun). Also the editing on the TCS whiffs is great. Makes me want to make an "Unsatisfying Great Sword" montage where it's just TCS barely whiffing over and over again.

Thanks a million to this guide! among all the 10-20 mins + video, this one just short/clean/informative with actual descriptive gameplay. just started MHW a week ago, was indecisive which weapon to main and thanks to you, i might just go with great sword xD My take away from this video: after every roll continue to tackle; after every tackle continue either side blow or side slash; after every side blow or side slash continue to sling shot; and after the sling shot continue to the TCS; rinse and repeat!

Thanks a lot for making this guide! I'm new to Monster Hunter and I had almost given up hope in finding a good guide for MHW. All of the (many) other "guides" I've seen pretty much say the same three things: - To defeat X just use OP gear Y (which drops from either X or from an enemy harder than X). - To avoid X's attacks just practice until you learn how to avoid its attacks. - Weapon "guides" that recommend to always aim for the most damaging combo (which you'll never pull off because it requires the monster to stay still for 10+ seconds), Honorary mention to the "EASY way to defeat X in 5 minutes" guides which explain that all you have to do is never get hit or miss TCS.

I liked this and had to comment because of how unreal this is. This is how its meant to be played. Hands down.

Best GS video I've seen yet. I knew there had to be more to GS and you just broke it wide open. "It's about to get spicy" is an understatement. 👍👍

Dude, i've avoided the greatsword for how clunky it is. I saw your vid, applied it to my gameplay I'm loving this weapon! You opened a whole new world of gameplay that I'm loving. Thanks
