MHWorld | Kulve Taroth solo (Lv6)

First attempt at soloing Kulve Taroth at Lv6. I still have no fucking clue how the fight works and I wouldn't be surprised if people figure out a way to get it done in under 10 or maybe even 5 minutes later down the line.

Since there seem to be some misconceptions regarding this raid, I figured I'd clear some things up before I get more "you didn't solo there were other people in the lobby" comments: Kulve Taroth's HP, part breaks etc. is not shared across all groups, meaning that the damage done to it by another group in another quest has no effect on the Kulve Taroth that I am fighting. You can see at 13:10 that one of the groups in the session has managed to break the horns completely and clear the quest, yet the quest wasn't cleared on my end. The only thing that is shared across all groups in a session is the Pursuit and Reward level. Edit: To add to that, I tried to solo her today again on stream including leveling her starting from Lv1, took me 2 1/2 hours to get her to Lv4 before I then broke her horn, all done while being offline and no one in the session who could potentially tamper with Kulve in any way. It took me about 22 minutes with 1 cart to break a Lv4 Kulve's horn, which isn't significantly slower than the Lv6 one especially if you consider that body parts are much harder to break at lower levels so I'd argue that it supports what I've stated above about players in a different quest not having any effect on the part breaks etc. in your quest.

Isn't it that just the health pool is shared? You can of course complete the quest via breaking the horns entirely, but another option I thought was just to repel it, in which the health bar comes into play. This probably helps more with inexperienced players who cannot get the horns down in time in their particular siege group. This would be when Kulve leaves/is repelled. I actually had this happen to me yesterday.

Pretty sure the health is shared somehow. We started off the fight and it took a while to get her to shed and get the gold plating off her head. Then she escaped. I then joined a quest with a new group, she pretty much instantly went down below, shedded her gold and we got the horns off very quickly.

Hey bud. Not sure if you figured it out yet, but the quest is pretty simple. Just go to your special assignments in the info tab, and look at all the parts to break. Each time you break a part you get points for that part until it fills. Once it’s filled you get more rewards. In short, just look at the objectives 😬 Once you break all the parts, break the horns completely, and you can finish the quest and get rewards. Note: you can break the gold on the horns first and then chip the horns, then completely break them. Hope this helps any one who hasn’t completed it.

Meta4z I'm just gona... copy and paste this here for u : there are 6 pursuit levels. collecting tracks, breaking parts and forcing her to areas 2,3 and 4 give pursuit points. higher pursuit levels: a.allows the scoutflies to track her and she shows on the map b gives u more time before she decides to retreat, making it easier to force her to later areas. and c. decreases break thresholds, making it easier to break and flinch and, ultimately, break her horns which is the end goal. there are also various wedge beetles(literally, they are everywhere in area 1 and 2) that allow for mounting and three map traps in area 1 AND 3 that all do 1500 damage each and leave an opening and the eruptions in area 3 which do 300 dmg on a tic. during a mount, she heats her mantle, making her entire body a weak spot(cough, rajang lol) she also does this when u do enough damage to her. useing a thnder weapon(IG, DB, SnS preferably) will rack up alot of elemental damage on anything with gold still on it(so ur bow will work fine for a bit), and ice for anything without(specifically for area 4). these elements do no damage if these requirements are not met. bring farcaster b/c it us more than likely that u will want a different set(or weapon) as in each area, she acts a bit differently, especially area 4. also use demon/armor drugs. 350+ def is fine for bladmasters, and her moves are predictable if u aren't too close to her so u shouldn't worry about being hit as a gunner.(u might want health boost decos tho, lol) bring ur palico, equipped with the radoban sleep mace and Molotov (they inflict whatever element/status is on the weapon) to get in some sleep bombing.(she WILL fall asleep at least once before are 4) and just remember, u need to break off the gold layer on the horn, THEN chip the horn, and finally break them off to complete the quest. the only reason to hit any other body part is if u r trying to get the tailcases, which require u to break her tail in area4, (not the gold casing, the black spiked tail under it, seen in area 4) or pursuit points. hope this helped :) totally doable solo.

Hey Canta awesome video, you should really try it again with Chargeblade(Diablos Tyrannis of course) and part breaker 3. SAED just destroys parts so easily and you deal tons of damage even when she has her gold armor on. Literally one SAED and she leaves the first area instantly with one part already broken. Doodle Obv no, i'm using a great sword. It's my highest damage build and since most of her attack cover entire screen i thought hit & run tactic would be good. Using radobaan weapon for my pelico and at least one time he put her to sleep. Do the wake up hit for the horn. Maybe switch to lance for the last phase.

Seeing KT's move set, I feel like people will be able to pull some crazy ass times with LS and CB since she does a bunch of huge, telegraphed attacks with large openings. Perfect for GP into full discharge or a counter into helmbreaker. I feel like LS would need a rocksteady though, so you don't get knocked out of the air by anything unexpected. Also, can anybody tell me how the rewards factor into YOUR quest when you solo it but others are also doing it in the lobby? Do you still get more rewards?

So i sat 10 to 12 hours yesterday trying to solo this, broken off all gold and parts, knocked her down X Times so i could focus on the horns but never made them to brake.. Used nergigantes dualblades and partbreaker lvl2. Any tips? And no "git gut" and "don't play solo" is not the kind of tips i want

Vargsong partbreaker doesnt help in killing her at all, its like elder dragons where you can only break horns when they are at low health. Might as well go for full damage to get there faster and then focus on the horns.
