Hello Mr Cool Guy, what version is this? Love the tone so I'm about to return my Rat 2 to GC and get one of these Crunch Box Distortion. This one I'm about to get is the Ver.3. @Jagersdad70 I am really happy that you like that pedal! I just sold a Boss metal zone that I just could NOT get to sound like I wanted with this amp & NOISY. The crunch Box is exactly what I was looking for and is a GREAT match with this gear. I am a classic rock (Zeppelin, Clapton, Floyd) fan and this is it! I have a LOT of practicing to do...lol. OK, just got this pedal and ran it through the Roland jc120. FANTASTIC sound...!!!!!!! Yes, a Roland Jazz Chorus can sound like a Marshall on steroids with this sucker!! No problemo.. Definitely one of those pedals I will not re-sell. Get one! You'll have a goofy grin on.

For the record, I'm a huge GMD fan, and I do agree yours are right up there too, but I strongly disagree that GMD is Jack Black:P lol Quick question, tho, what were the amp settings?? The Strat's clean tone sounds a little clunky to me - which I assume was intentional, b/c then the distorted tone sounds killer, I'm just hoping it's not something inherent in the Fat 50's set, b/c I'm kinda' looking at those too, and I'm big on clarity... or some might say, annoying levels of brightness 0:)

I run a Strat through a Deluxe Reverb, which is a very unforgiving combination for dirt pedals. Very clean. I'm currently testing a Fuzz Factory, Boss DS1, EH Big Muff, Barber Direct Drive and Boss SD1. All of them but the Barber are VERY fizzy through my setup. However, the Barber doesn't have all the crunch that I'm looking for. Do you find this pedal is fizzy at all? It sure sounds great on this demo, but KZbin isn't all that great for hearing subtleties like that. Your opinion, please?

Very nice demo, but still it's just internet. I know i asked a similar question some time ago, but i'll try with this one: how does this little guy go against Hardwire SC-2 Valve? Could compare those? I think crunch box has more gain and seems to have more of a "pedal" characteristic. It's probably darker and less tweakable. Hi Burgerman...I love this pedal, One question please... I have one Crunch Box V3, the sound is great! but I can't to control the noise with much gain or volumen, is that normal? , I believe when I buy it at the beginning not to much noise... I use the pedal with a 9v battery, but a some times I used the peda with a 12v adapter (clon), may have affected that? I can fix that noise? I have a ISP Decimator noise reduction but the noise still sound... Thanks a lot!

Why would a pedal company make you take the back off a pedal to adjust the presence? I just ordered a crunch box, but I wish I ordered the shredhead, but they're not so easy to get one.
