The china version have english language to choose. And it have a lot of software update, but am not sure if the global version will come and it will give the same OS update. China or Global version is have English version if that is only you need CV will be fine and it have NFC and hope GV will also support NFC. Thanks

How do you change the region to China? Presently I am in Malaysia. Do I have to unintall my Mi Fitness app and reinstall and change the region from there?

Using your Mi Fitness app, and go to the setting and change the region to china. No need to uninstall you MFapp. Hope you get it. Thanks

Hi there thanks for this video. I bought the chinese version. I changed the region to china and it paired but when i change it back to my country the app restarts. Do i have to keep using it with china as region?

if you have another smart band using mi fitness app that is fine, im doing that with my others and the app is not restarts. I also doing that change my region from china, nothings happen and go back to china is normal.

Hello bro, thanks for this amazing videos. I bought the Chinese version the last day and i put the region China so i can connect it to iphone. Everything seems good but there is some chinese letters on the display and the weather isn’t displayed on the band. Are there any solution? And also there isn’t a blood pressure choice on the band to test it. It can be done only from the app. Can we fix it ?

Hi Mohamad, you can set the weather and SPO2 Blood monitoring using Mi Fitness app. And you should turn ON your smartphone/iphone wifi or data and bluetooth, to have the weather. And hope you already updated your MB8 to the latest OS. Chinese letter yes it has, but we can find more watch faces design with out Chinese letter. And it's all good to me till now! hope this will help you. Thanks

Hi Utariq, I'm still doing my full review with this new MB8 china version, I will let you know guys if its all good in 101%. But I think it's all working good smooth and responsive with the Mi Fitness app and this one is NFC version with alipay and Weixin Pay which is good. This is all I can say for now I'm still testing it. Hope this give you same idea. Thanks

@@KNACKSKILL thanks for a detailed reply. I'm really confused between Mi Band 7 and Mi Band 8. In my region Band 7's global version is available. And I've read in different places that Mi Band 8 (Chinese) sometimes displays things in Chinese. One guy wrote that his language changed to Chinese even though his phone language was English. So I'm kind of skeptical about buying the Band 8 Chinese version. I think Band 7 (Global) would be a safer choice. And there aren't any breakthrough differences between the two. And obviously I'll save some money also. What do you say about this?

@@utariq the deferences of 7 and 8 is the battery life, watch faces design and the strap. The china version is the same with global, why? because they both have Chinese and English version to choice from. The China version have english language. My china version is all good no issue like Chinese character. This is not my first watch band that i bought with china version, global version will come out soon with just adding a country. But it's up to you. Hope this help. Thanks

You should select to english language from the start when you pair the MB8, same with the previous band. For this one they have chinese and english choose ENGLISH. Hope this help. thanks

I got mine few days ago - my first Mi Band ! Yes you are right since this NFC model M2239B1 are CN version, so it can be connected with Mi Fitness app ONLY for now, until we get the global version of Mi Band 8 ‐ hopefully by end of this year!

Thank you very much! I got my Mi band 8 on December 2023 and now in the app "mi fitness" i have option to choose model "mi band 8" but it worked ONLY after I changed it to Chine region like you showed and it paired atomatically.

Hi sir nik, i think scratch resistance siya kase madulas, yung gold version ko still walang gas gas kahit bara bara ko ilapag sa desk ko, but still it defend parin sa ating paggamit at pag-iingat. Sa black version hindi masyadong pansin yung kintab at common na kase ang black color sa watch. Kaya gold or white ang kinukha ko. But it's up to you sir, color will defend in your getup and life style. Okay din ang black para bagay sa lahat. Thanks

Hi, check your smartphone bluetooth history into your smartphone, find the Mi Band 8 if you find it check that. and then try again to pair your MB8 using mi fitness app. and change your settings to china region. Hope it will work this time. Thanks happy new year!

I am not able to pair and the app instructions says only if phone region is set to china and app region is set to china, the pairing works. In my phone location settings, i dont have china country itself. Any idea how to resolve this

Hi Manika, first you need to download the Mi Fitness app into your smartphone or iphone. Second, go to your smartphone bluetooth turn it on and find the Mi Band 8 and click that to connect. 3rd open Mi Fitness app into your smartphone. If you had the China version got to Settings and change to China region and that's it for both iPhone and Android. Hope this help. Thanks

@@KNACKSKILL Thanks for the reply. When i go to bluetooth there is no connect option and only manage bluetooth device exists and clicking on it the MI fitness app opens. In the app even when click on choose model, the screen is empty. I downloaded the mi fitness app by scanning the QR code in the band and the version of app is 3.24.2

Hope I can help, are you using MB8? go to "Settings" and click Display and look for "Brightness" there you can select "CUSTOM" rather than Auto, using CUSTOM you can manually adjust the brightness setting. Yes, you can charge it using your router USB because i'm using that as well, but if to slow I suggest charge it to your computer or in any USB port you have direct to your extension cord or main power. Hope this help. Thanks

I paired it to China. However phone screen just can’t come back to the colourful main menu that shows time. Inky shows the workout timer / play or the etc. I previously have. Mi5 and was not so complicating. Improvements are making this watch unberable

Hello today i've bought MI8 from China, it's giving the same issues. Im in Canada and when i choose my region Canada the apps doesn't detect the device also i can't manually select the device as it's not shown when scrolled down (just like you did). Only this will work if you select your region as China. But in that case the utility will be limited, like most of the band faces will show chinese language for days (mon/tues etc.). Besides weather doesn't show as well. I guess the MI Fitness apps has not yet been compatible for chinese versions to be used outside china. I have MI7 Chinese version and it gives NO such issues. I spent 60$ for this and now can't solve this issue. So far i did not find any clues to solve this. Can't sale it to someone like this. It's made of is really cool, metal body, easily detachable straps, easy charging system. But all went into vein. Thank you

Hi Nisha, when you pair it you select ENGLISH language in to your watch MB8?. In the Mi Fitness app when i selected CHINA region it doesn't turn to Chinese language still all text in english. The purpose we change the region to CHINA is to detect the device. Because if we select in our own location or region it will not detect the MB8 using Mi Fitness app in our smartphone. Mine all my watch faces are fine only have Chinese text is the personal photo skin but all watch faces is in english language, hope your mb8 will fix soon.

No problem here at all, it's all working good even I change the region from china. The band 8 is working good. And i can easily return to the china region using the app. And having no problem at all to return it in china region and now the weather is working good.

Hi Samera, punta ka sa phone bluetooth mo hanapin mo si Mi Band 8, tapos I connect mo siya duon sa Bluetooth ng phone mo ha. Kapag naka connect na. Open mo naman si Mi Fitness app sa phone mo. Then add mo si Mi Band 8, but FIRST unahin mo monang i change yong region mo to CHINA, under siya ng "Profile" then look for "Settings". Gagana lang ito kapag china version and MB8 mo.
