@chrishanoi56579 жыл бұрын

@infamousian1239 жыл бұрын
He's getting old but the early gray hair explains how damn stressful it could be when you spent years and years and years of constant traveling and a shit load of baseball almost every day for like 7-9 months of the year. Its stressful. Imagine going into extra innings on a Friday night, game ends at like 11:00pm -12:00am and you already need o be ready for Bp at like 11:00am to 12:00pm. You know your gonna barely get any sleep and you didn't eat dinner yet. Sure people have jobs every day of the year but its different when millions of people watch you, everyone has haters and fans that are let down or won't leave you alone. Its hard, baseball has lots of pressure in it. When you have the ball everyone's looking at you. If you mess up everyone is looking at you. If your at bat everyone is looking at you. Millions of people. Add that to late dinners every night, practice next day followed by a game, its hard to be in the MLB. You really need to love baseball to death because you'll be drunk off baseball as you play so much of it and have barely anytime away from it even during off season since its not even that long until practice starts again. But after you retire in the MLB you'll be set for life. 43 years old, long way ahead of you, lots of money but for most its not enough to buy a 22.7million dollar house. But its enough to be filthy rich. After the MLB unless you have a clothing line or still sponsor a company I don't believe there will be any money coming into their bank accounts but for Ichiro, we all know he's going to be filthy stinking rich as he's a baseball legend.

This may be the team he spent the least amount of time with overall (not counting his last 5-6 games with the Mariners) but this is hands down one of my favorite Ichiro moments, like the announcers said this is such an amazing display of athleticism and determination to score a run (a tying run at that) from a 41 year old at the time.
@overratedgm57132 жыл бұрын
Not really. If he just kept running instead of stopping, he would have been safe by a mile. Poor judgement, made the play closer than it needed to be.
@ばん-u1h6 ай бұрын
@@overratedgm5713 What you are saying is wrong. If you know that the timing is completely right for an out, your next job is to stick around as long as possible and buy time for the batter-runner to advance. The moment Ichiro executed his subplan, he saw that the pitch was deflected and switched again to rushing home. All appropriate decisions.
