To me, someone that didn't like that they kept him in 2018, but was will to give him a chance, I gave up on his drafting in 2020. His free agents have been more negative than positive. I will say, since mclovin has got here, the offensive skill players drafted, often drafted in mid rounds, have been rather good. His contracts and vision are still a reason to fire him.

Imagine the innocence and expectations of being 7 years old and living through the '72 perfect season with a die hard dad as a fan. Much heartache since then. Through Woodstrock, Marino, Fiedler, and all the rest. Now Tua. It's the whole TEAM, as you say. Time to cut the fat from the bone and return to basics, like hard-nosed Shula did so many years ago!

You are RIGHT ON THE MONEY with this assessment. I am same boat as you from a longing for Marino Shula years… what you didn’t mention was how WE CANT DRAFT AT ALL!. Larry, I saw the first dolphin game before sure I went through the undefeated season. I went through the years of Marino and threw all of the coaches the problem that I see right here and I feel that I am an authority on this we drafted the wrong quarterback from the very beginning And try to build a team around him with veteran players because we could not have young players around him it wouldn’t have worked well. This hasn’t worked either these short tank and dump passes with no running game no offensive line. No defensive line is a disgrace if it was me running the team, I would unload Tua immediately. I don’t know what his trade value is, but he would be an afterthought, and I would build with a young quarterback and build the offensive and defensive lines of this team, or I would bring in a veteran quarterback with a young offensive and defensive line from scratch and groom, a young quarterback we have failed at the draft five years ago, and that is the problem with who we picked to be our quarterback I am not going to sugarcoat this any longer everybody defend him. He’s such a nice guy. I’m not looking for a nice guy at quarterback. I’m looking for a guy with a strong arm, accuracy and a team leader. You’re not gonna see that what we have here right now.

How do you buy season tickets each year and expect different results. Its the very definition of insanity.

I'm just happy Tua had the opportunity to get nice, shiny veneers on his teeth with his new contract money, so he can smile for the next commercial he's not going to get after this no show ending to the season. I'm not blaming this season on him, he's only part of the problem. But he did say, Show Me The Money first day of training camp to the fans after signing his contract on a dare from one of the team reporters. Mike McDaniel would have agreed to wash dishes if thats what it took to be head coach. They can fire him now and he'll get paid for 3 years and if he's not an idiot, he and his family are set for life

I don’t agree with your opinion, though in part, I agree with your assessment of what’s the point of keeping players for so many years who were always injured. Flores was a disaster and impossible to work with and he snitched on his Boss and Brady., then sues the hand that feeds him ? Free Agency destroyed the NFL and the team concept. 17 games per season is ridiculous. Teams no longer play preseason games or even practice anymore. The fans and the media ran Shula and then Marino out too, a disaster when the media and fans turned viscous against teams. I agree in part with your opinion on paying players ridiculous kinda money for which you have spoken of, because I have said it myself. None of the players we have are worth that kinda money, and neither are any of the so called stars of the NFL deserve it either, but I am digressing from my main argument or point I am trying to make. As great as Marino was, in 17 years, he never won a Championship at any level. Jimmy Johnson couldn’t do it either. Neither could Nick Saban or the slew of other coaches you’ve mentioned. Remember, it’s easy to second guess and play Monday Night QB, hindsight is 20/20. Tua is a great QB and is showing promise. But he cannot do it on his own and for the last 5 years, all we’ve had is nothing but a bunch of injuries. Blowing it up now will do nothing good, other than reshuffle the deck and we fans will be arguing the same nonsense for the next 5-7 years. Stephen Ross can run his team as he deems fit. It’s he’s team. Houston is a good team, and that fake punt we got suckered into with was the dagger. It’s easy to play momentum when you’re up by 2 possessions. Also, the NFL banned Tua from playing at least 2X, and Skylar Thompson almost beat Buffalo, but a penalty negated a for sure win, and Mostert fumbled the ball. Today’s NFL is nothing like the 80’s or 70’s football. It’s a weird version of WWF. No more Pro Bowls. More pure entertainment and the new kickoff rule is a joke.

Been a fan since 1970. Here’s a thoughtism. They’re not going anywhere until Ross family is gone. Stephen Ross is the Jerry Jones of AFC East only unlike Jerry he doesn’t care if Fins win so long as his profit margin is where he wants it. Oh yeah I almost forgot. Why in the world would anyone have great expectations for this dumpster fire of an organization. They beat 💩teams as they did last year but get bullied by more talented and physical teams. Ross and Grier DO NOT care about winning and won’t spend money across the board to win. They want just enough talent to make it interesting and exciting particularly against lessor opponents. In other words they want just enough to sell tickets and keep the illusion of great potential alive. Furthermore Grier flat out stinks as evaluator of talent or being able to accurately assess team needs case in point offensive line. It’s been this way since Ross bought team. Wake up. McDonald is the type of coach Ross and Grier love namely, one that is easy to control…
@LarryK13 сағат бұрын
Totally agree that Ross is the issue. He just doesn't care about winning. Its way down his list of main priorities. And as long as fans and media in South Florida are happy to kid themselves, he won't run out of excuses.

@Ballaholic1714 сағат бұрын
I'm so tired of listening to the Tua apologists. He's a great guy and a serviceable qb who can win you some games in this league, but he just isn't good enough when we're competing with the other good qbs and teams. He can't stand in the pocket like the bigger qbs and make throws with defenders bearing down on him. He can't make throws consistently to any spot the field, or in tight windows with velocity. The defense doesn't have to account for him running, and he doesn't buy time and force defenders to cover our speed for more than 2.5 seconds. The oline isn't great, but there are times when Tua has plenty of time to let the play develop more and he doesn't or he can't make the throw. McDaniel is not a good head coach, but I can't fully blame him for the style of offense he has designed to maximize Tua and the roster. He has a bunch of small offensive players who are often injured and a weak oline. I know his decision making and abandoning the run in the past have been terrible, but strictly talking about the design of the offense, I think he's done a pretty good job. He's a weak leader, he's in over his head, he doesn't seem to emphasis basic fundamentals or prepare his team well, and he doesn't hold anyone accountable on top of being a below average GameDay coach. Grier acquired alot of talent, but the talent doesn't compliment each other. You need talent, but you also need grinders who love football. You need toughness, size and tone setters who might not be as talented, but they're the hardest workers in the building. That's what's missing all across this organization. Not just players but everyone involved in the decision making process. Grier acts like he's the smartest guy in the room and he knows more than anyone. How do they collaborate when you have a GM who thinks he knows everything?

Again, not something a tough person does.

The team has a lot of issues, but you have to start with the foundation... The Foundation is Tua. And everything is built around Tua... But the fact is Tua sucks... Yes, he has some great stats but stats don't win Superbowl's. And for every great stat he has he also has a weakness. Tua needs to go now. Mcdanial may need to go too but I would like to give him a chance with a good QB.Time to rebuild this team without Tua as the Foundation.
@janfinzfan4785 сағат бұрын
Rome is not built in one day. In my opinion this process has completely failed because instead of walking, this franchise decided to run and has crashed into a wall. Why throw Tua in on his rookie season if we knew he had just suffered a major hip injury?. We needed to draft like the 49ers and Lions and the Bills, where you have blue collar hard nose players on the trenches and with that you dont need to rely on high priced skill position players. Look at the Lions and 49ers, they have good teams, hard playing tough teams and they have regular QB´s not elite except for the Bills.
@wheelchairmanjon19 сағат бұрын
What’s up Larry, I have no faith in this organization. I think as long as Stephen is the owner. Miami is not going anywhere in this day and age people confuse constructive criticism with hating people confuse hard nose coaching with hating, but that’s what you need to be to be a successful team, a hard nose, leader of men. That’s what wins. You have to be a leader, and Mike is not that he has looked completely lost all season. Do I expect Stephen to do the right thing absolutely not because he cannot get out of the way that’s why the Miami Dolphins or the AFC version of the Dallas Cowboys talented players that constantly under achieve. I get it you’re the owner you on the team you can do what you want, but you have to delegate responsibilities to people that know better. He is a real estate developer. He doesn’t know anything about football. He’s not a lifelong fan that became a wealthy man and decided to buy his favorite team. He’s a real estate developer what does he know about football? He knows about as much as about football as I do about real estate developing soft mentality equals soft results being soft is not what life is about being solved is not what football is about. You have to be tough and able to accept criticism.
