My favorite player is gone 😭 it's not fair. Great tribute to my favorite player rest in peace brother you'll never be forgotten not from me not from any MLB fan. I'll carry the way you played in every game I play in. If I'm playing in the infield or on the mound I'll put #16 in the dirt. You changed my life and you were a hero. I'll continue to write JDF on my hand everyday until the season is over. You'll always be with me Rest easy and keep looking down love you Jose.

I feel like if this never happened and Jose Fernandez kept pitching, I feel like he could've been the all time leader in strike outs by the end of his career or close to it
@jakebennett77728 жыл бұрын
JackLeahy'sChannel there would've been a good chance for that to happen

And maybe the Marlins would've been a contender with Yelich, Gordon, Stanton, Fernandez, Bour, Realmuto, Ozuna, Castro, Hechavarria. like thinking about this lineup gives me chills as a Cubs fan RIP Jose #JDF16

Tomas P: you don't like baseball is what your saying because Jose had to be one of the best pitchers of all time
@jqsqueue5 жыл бұрын
Tomas P I’m sure those grown men that were on that boat weren’t forced to ride in it. They could have easily stayed on land. They made the decision to jump on the boat with someone who was impaired.

vinnie ortega thats sad. Jose was a good kid and believe it or not my most recent mlb game i went to was the marlins and he pitched a gem against the cubs when i was down in south florida last summer playing ball . I mean what a talented kid. I am cuban so this really hurts a lot he was a hero
@DAMMACASUAL7 жыл бұрын
thats full for a marlins game where they were already out of the play offs believe me im a season ticket holder and that is a fuller than usual i personally went to the game and it was so quiete for 9innings you can hear every fastball sliceing thru the air

Diehard Cardinals fan here. Jose gave us a run for our money a handful of times, and I remember his name distinctly. Goddamn, what an awful situation you Marlins fans have to deal with. I can't imagine some of our beloved players disappearing overnight. Beautiful tribute for a great man. Baseball may only be a game, but it's one that brings us together regardless our differences. Jose seemed to embody that spirit, and though I'm not religious myself, God bless him and his fans. I'm so terribly sorry for your loss, much less his family's.

Most beautiful moment in baseball. I feel so lucky I got to watch this game live.
@jmn3277 жыл бұрын
Watched this while on the treadmill at the gym, with my headphones on. I'm a trumpet player, and have gotten the chance to perform Taps before, which can get very emotional. I was confused at first because I thought the horn player was going to do the usual bugle rendition of Taps, but as soon as he hit the higher note for Take Me Out to the Ballgame, I nearly started bawling right there on the exercise machine. Watching the Mets' broadcast, each guy in the booth looked like an emotional wreck, but it was cathartic and needed for a grieving community of baseball players, commentators, personalities, and fans.

@haroldsteinblatt25677 жыл бұрын
Those who call him a murderer - please, he may have been 24, but I thought of him as a teenager. He came from Cuba and quickly became a superstar The Mets Doc Gooden was a also kid could have been one of the greatest pitcher ever and he destroyed his career and much of his life with drugs. Fernandez didn’t intend to kill anyone. He was in no position to be at the wheel. If the others noticed. maybe they should have stopped him from driving the boat - or maybe it was hard; he was the star athlete. It’s a tragedy for them, for him and his family. This is brutal.
